I really enjoyed Charles Davis commentary

Back when Phil Simms was a game analyst, I would watch the game on mute.

I remember the whole cbs broadcasts just felt different a few years ago. If felt like a cheaper experience than what fox offered.

Tony Romo changed that for CBS. Romo is the best in the business right now. But I still miss Madden-Summerall.

Knocked the guy in pregame. And Ive knocked him before. However, I really enjoyed his commentary today.

I think Madden may have skewed my opinion of his commentary

My second favorite to number 9 only.

His presentation/context is factual and so he keeps it genuinely neutral.

Points out both positives and negatives to both teams performances.

I don’t mind his critical analysis unlike some who want to hear a biased Pollyanna blowhard of how their great team was robbed by the refs or some other conspiracy theory.

I like him.

Just like most of my opinions here, not too popular.

He was born in Elizabethton, TN, Witten’s hometown
Signed as an undrafted FA in 1987 with the Cowboys but did not make the team

Some folks would only be satisfied if Mickey Spagnola called the games.

That would be the worst. 3+ hours of listening to him being passive aggressive, making excuses and getting defensive with the other broadcasters.

Heck we can not even here him because of trying to understand what Garrett and co are doing.

A commentator doesn't have to be a favorite. I think fans attribute to much meaning to the commentary. Burkhardt & Davis are fun though.
