It was on our first offensive drive near the goal line after Craytons catch that put us at the three. The next play Colombo was run blocking #95 kinda knocking around pretty good that play.

After Barber was down, SD #95 shoved Colombo in the back after Colombo tuned away from him. Colombo then turned around gave another nice shot to #95 and then in the same move turned back around in time to plant his knee's into the back of whatever poor SD lineman was laying on the ground.

Another lineman kinda had to pull him away. Love the intensity!

Oh, it brought tears to my eyes as I fondly remembered Eric Williams and the attitude that Dynasty team had.

Was that before or after the false start?

By the way, I just noticed on that Crayton pass, Gurode sent the shotgun snap nearly sailing over Romo's head.

He is one of my favorite players, I hope we can resign him.

Was wondering the same thing. I like Colombo's nasty streak just as well as the next guy but not if he's caught and gets a penalty. I haven't forgotten that Colombo had most OL penalties on the team last year--1-2 more then Flozel.

Good afternoon captain happy. theogt, I know there were mistakes made. I saw them too. Did not like the snap to Romo earlier or the false start. I did like the fire shown by Colombo on the play I am referring to. There are plenty of threads filled with whining. this is a post about a play and attitude I like.

That is all.

I can take personal fouls for being passionate more than Flos false starts, which add nothing to the team.

He is in contract year, so hopeful he plays his butt off, regardless.

You're so brilliant. We are all so fortunate that you choose to share your small nuggets of genius with the participants on this forum - what generousity!
Keep the wisdom flowing, please. We are all smarter football fans for it.

Thanks,

Don't get me wrong. I like Colombo. Hope we re-sign him. But if that'd been Flozell you'd have a 20 threads on the topic.

Having just rewatched the game with a praticular interest in the O-line I saw in slow motion that it was Bigg who jumped first. Colombo did not jump until after Bigg moved. I couldn't hear who the ref called it on since his mic was off when he called it but if it was called on Colombo it was a mistake.

The ref called it on 75. After watching it about 15 times, I'm convinced it was Colombo moving first.

You must have seen it on NFL Network...on the Cowboys Network where I watched it the ref was muted.

I won't argue with you if you're convinced...but I'm just as convinced that it was Leonard Davis who jumped first. And I watched it several times as well and in slow motion.

The mic was off. But you can very clearly read his lips say 75. Davis didn't even get out of his stance until a few seconds after the flag.

Oh Come ON!!

It was near simultaneous jumping with the two guys and I had to go slow-mo to distinguish which went first (it was Davis). But to say that Davis didn't even get out of stance until after the flag!? You have got to be kidding...you couldn't have even been watching the same play I was.

If you are THAT far off on your observation then it is end of discussion.

Are you confusing Witten with Colombo? And Colombo with Davis?

I do that quite a bit (i.e., think the TE is the tackle, etc.) when there's a very wide camera angle.

Well the wife is watching some of her Soap Opera crap on the TiVo right now so I'll double check that possibility again later (she's already PO'd at me for watching the game again this morning and rewinding it constantly. LOL). But I did watch it several times and I'm pretty sure I saw it right. In the mean time if someone else checked it out and wants to settle the argument, feel free.

Maybe you had a better angle (mine is from what theebs posted). On mine, they cut to the overhead shot just before the snap, so it's hard to get a good look at it. But after I read your post, I went back and looked and thought you were right. Then I realized I was looking at Witten, who moves just after Colombo moves.
