I really like the potential of Mark Nzeocha. He's got great size and athleticism, but he has a bad case of the injury bug.

Does anybody know why he didn't play in the HOF game? I'd just heard good things about him all through camp - and that he has been healthy since having a knee scope earlier in the summer - then never saw him on the field in the actual game.

He's one of those guys where I really WANT to pull for him, but he doesn't seem to be reliable enough to fully invest my trust.

I must have been hallucinating, thought I did see him in the game second half.

I don't know why he didn't play other than Garrett is super conservative.

Nzeocha did show excellent size and athleticism last preseason before getting injured. I have no idea about his progress in terms of knowing the game, instincts, etc..

He was practicing right before the left for Canton. And almost all the starters as well as quite a few 2nd team guys did not play.
So no issues here with keeping him out. He does need the reps, and Wilson played. But if Wilson gets any kindd of suspension, the 1st guy to replace him for now is Nzeocha or Durant. Best keep one of them out at this point, and that was Nzeocha this time. I don't think Durant is off NFI yet anyway.

This fan is very curious with how this current linebacker group develops.

I can't even say the guys name, so it's hard to root for the man!!!!

I put this guy in the ever-increasing bucket of "pet cats" that the zone promotes...thus, I haven't given him and most of the others too much of my time...let's see how things pan out

and yeah, I haven't seen him in a game so I didn't hear anyone butcher his name yet (Collingsworth would have been puking something like enzeee-oh-cha)

He's a key prospect of in the organization and his emergence could alter draft plans heading into the draft. The negative is he's already 27 and has only a handful of NFL snaps on his resume. You're hoping this guy can step up and give us 3+ seasons at LB.

Why do peeps like him? The name?
He's big, he's fast, he's a draft pick, it would make a great story. I get it. Plus, with what we went through with Rolando, it would have been great if Nzeocha could've taken that Mike position.

Really seems like this would have been a perfect game for him to get a lot of time, especially if they are going to start working the Jaylon into games.

I would love to see Nzeocha play in a real game to see what he can do
