I admit it. In 2012, I was furious the Cowboys traded up for Morris Claiborne, a CB for whom I had a low opinion, and didn't instead draft Janoris Jenkins, and keep their 2nd round pick. In fact, I wanted them to draft OG David DeCastro in round 1, and CB Janoris Jenkins in round 2. I thought Jenkins was a much better CB prospect than Claiborne, and time has validated that opinion.

Nevertheless, I repent. I am now glad that the Cowboys didn't draft Jenkins.

Not a fan of Jenkins, never was but he is not responsible for his brothers actions!

Yup. Besides we would of gotten 6+ years of great play out of him. Who knows if he gets tagged in this or his play drops off etc, but I still would of taken him in round 2 like the OP wanted.

I don’t get this, maybe the OP read the article and thought it was Janoris? Otherwise what’s the point?

Lost one, the brotherhood will always welcome thee upon return if the path has become unclear. May the Blue Star guide us.

You can repent on the Jenkins part, but trading up for Mo was stupider 'n stupid.

There was a reason Jenkins fell in the draft. Several actually. He was arrested three times while playing at Florida, and finally kicked off the squad. When he showed up at North Alabama for his senior year, he had 4 kids from 3 different women.

At some point, teams have to decide if a guy's off the field decisions will end up costing him/them time on the field. I don't blame the Cowboys one bit for passing on him.

I didn't want him.

However, what would've been nice is if we hadn't freaked out and had taken the guys we had targeted, Brockers and Wagner.

BLESS YOU MY SON! (Ah ah ah ah Ahhhh):)

Do you repent on losing out on Brockers and Wagner for the trade up?
From what I understand that was the first two round targets that were still on the board at the spots we gave up.
