I thought they had some very questionable hits, It didn't cost Dallas the game, but I thought they hit late and led with the helmet several times. Nothing really blatant, just pushing the rules to the edge.

I saw Romo taking a lot of the same late hits that got us flagged for 15 yards.

Oh well, that's the benefit of being Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, I guess.

Yes they played dirty. Yes they kicked our butts.

Two seperate issues there, IMO.

I'm not saying it's why we lost... but they really did have some cheap shots in there that you normally just don't see during the course of a game. The Wilfork forearm to the back of Witten's head was one of the easier one's to see.

That's ok. If, IF we do see them again... I'm sure our guys will remember it.

We can compete with these guys, period. Take out Nate Jones and put in Anthony Henry and it makes a difference. Let Brady be off, even a hair and about a quarter of the passes he completed yesterday will be incomplete. He was spot on target and things just fell their way.

That's ok. It would be more difficult the second time around (always is) and we will remember the dirty plays.

We just need to take care of business and meet them in Arizona.

The Colts have been complaining for years about the Pats getting away with illegal contact downfield. They call a total bs PI on us in the endzone in the 3rd quarter but no flag on Crayton's TD. Romo get hit in the helmet and no flag, we take 1 hit and nail Brady and they throw a questionable flag giving them yet another big first down in the 3rd quarter.

Honestly, do we really want to meet them again? :shoot5:

This is what other teams say about us.

We are very physical and hurt opponents weekly.

We have cut guys at the knees and yanked down ball carriers from behind or the side and generally roughed teams up as well.

The Pats are considered dirty but thats not a bad thing imho.

3. At least twice I saw an o-lineman try to "cut" Ware at the knees. We are lucky he was not injured out there today. On another play, Ware jumped to knock the pass down and it looked like one of the backs or tight ends (couldnt really tell the guys # from the video angle) dove under Ware so he would come down awkardly.

I saw that too... What is ironic is those plays were right there in the faces of the refs. On one play, they ran the screen pass to Ware's side, and they employed this same tactic..

That is why he got the ankle sprain in the first place, i.e. the lineman went for his knees, and "surprisingly" they didn't even show the replay that caused it.

Well, actually, I was hoping THEY would not make it to the Superbowl, through some Divine intervention or something.

So actually, I think that would be smart to not want to face them in the Superbowl, but I guess if they show up we will just have to execute swift and severe retribution upon their arrogant butts. :spanking:

Uh, he broke TO's ankle. You say "repeatedly broke people's legs" as if Roy Williams left a trail of players with broken legs in his wake.

Uh,

Tyrone Calico (torn up knee, never recovered), Jamal Lewis (high ankle sprain), Musa Smith (compound fracture of the leg) , and Terrell Owens (fractured right fibula and torn ligaments)... all from a Roy horsecollar tackle. That's just in one season...2004.

We can count the number of penalties that have been made as a result of Cowboy specific players for no real reason at all. Soon, we'll see the stiff arm outlawed as a result of Marion Barber using it too much to gain a competitive advantage.

If Marion Barber ends a couple of players careers with his stiff arm, when no one else in the league is using it, then there probably should be a rule against it because he's doing it wrong.

On a side note, I do like the fact they got away with a nice block in the back on Harrison on Thompson's big run.

I thought that against NE we should have started MBIII. They play so dirty and he's such an aggressive runner he would have done much better to start the game off.

JJ is a finese runner and that plays to NE dirty playing strengths.

I thought Julius was better than Marion yesterday. Yes i loved the roundhouse to Harrison's face, but Julius was more effective I thought. Marion's style almost cost us two points, it was exciting but a stupid play.

6. Running the score up. The game was over and it was a total classless move to run up the score.

Hmm, agree with everything you say except this. They ran the ball with some no-name RB when they got the ball deep in our territory after the INT. Any other team would have done the same thing.

I'd be willing to bet that some people would say it was classless and rubbing it in for them to take a knee so close to our end zone. (didn't the Commanders do that to us?)

The penalty to Hatcher was the correct call. He led with his helmet high on Brady. It might be a wimpy rule, but it was right.

Are you trying to insinuate that Roy was the only one using the horse collar? Yesterday, Roy tackled Watson and injured him by grabbing him from the waist and pulling him down while running laterally. Are they going to now say Roy can't tackle except below the waist?

Yea otherwise we might of had to settle for a FG there. Oh wait nevermind. Phillips decision to kick the FG there brought back nightmares of Campo.

Austin blocks Harrison in the back then trips himself, what a great effort that was.

Boo-hoo... the Cowboys got their collective *** whipped. Deal with it. If they lost by a field goal - or even one touchdown... your pitch would prolly seem credible. But they were flat blown out.

Blown out, my ***! That was a game through three quarters. And I still say one or two plays and we have momentum and win. ESPECIALLY the totally bogus pass interference. If that doesn't happen, our D has held them two straight possessions and O has scored on 3 straight. If we hold and go down and score again, we're up two possessions into the 4th. Maybe we lose, but it's very close.

The point is, folks can complain, mention, post, whatever about certain Pats non-calls, but I guarantee you there were some that the 'boys got away with too. That just happened to be one of them. And it was one I totally appreciated.

Seeing Roy play, I don't think its the horsecollar at all. On a play close to the sideline it looked like it was going to be a horsecollar tackle, but he then goes for the waste and tackles the guy like he does on his horsecollars. And it appeared he nearly broke the guys ankle, he had to leave the game. I think its just the way Roy tackles from behind, he is going to injure people because he is a beast. Anyway, the horsecollar rule is still a BS rule.
