I See Only One Way To Beat The Eagles With Rush

Just run the dang ball. The Eagles are giving up 5 yards/rush. That's actually worse than the Cowboys. If the Cowboys can get that running game going, it will create opportunities in the passing game and keep Philly's offense off the field.

Winning TOP and not allowing Philly to get a rhythm on offense will be a valuable compliment to a persistent and patient running game. Patience will be key here. Moore can't get jumpy with his play calling looking for chunks of yards to make up for a unproductive play or two.

The defense will do its thing as long as they are not left hang out to dry from excessive 3 and outs and or turnovers by Cowboys offense. They will need a high energy effort with relentless rallying to the ball. They need the offense to play smart and physical football.

It's on!

All true. I think the one thing you don't want to do as a team playing the Cowboys is let them get out to a lead, this team is so much better playing with a cushion. It lets us run the ball when we want and our defense can play aggressive. That can be said for most teams but the Cowboys especially.

For some reason Philly does not scare me. Maybe I am just underestimating them. The Dallas defense has given hurts problems ever since he has been a starter. I don’t think we blow them out by any means, but I don’t see them having much success against this defense.

While you are correct, the defense is likely going to stack the box and force the Cowboys to throw. I feel like we need to also count on our WR’s to NOT drop anymore balls. We cannot have any drops in a game like this.

Special teams will also need to step up to aid the offense in getting some blocked punts and hopefully defense can get some takeaways.

We’re going to frustrate a lot of teams this year. LOL

Sloooow it down, pound, pound, pound, don’t give them lucky mistakes, and meanwhile your QB runs for his life!

Running the ball has been the formula for winning since Cooper Rush has been starting. Why would that change? Even if Dak returns, the formula should not change. Dak should be incorporated into that running game when he returns. His RPOs are something Rush doesn't do and defenses have trouble stopping them.

Yes, you are correct and that's where patience comes in. They can't let the Eagles control the LOS. I sit Schultz in this one and get all those big bodies out there to run block. Leak a TE or RB out once in a while to keep the LBs and Ss honest.

same formula. run the ball. play tough defense. keep them to less than 17 points. for that we have to stop their run game and force Hurts to pass and get some pressure on him.

That is surprising.......with Cox and Davis.
I was surprised myself.

O will have to put up some more yards/points to win this week
They need to be successful running to open up play action on 1st down.

TOP. Keep Hurts and Co. out of rhythm and off the field.

If Rush starts the Cowboys offense has been good for about 21 points a game.

That's been enough to win because the defense and ST has played very well.

But you know what? At some point the Cowboys are going to lose another game. And of course, that will be the end of the world. Armageddon.

Somebody out here (I won't name names) said if the Cowboys beat the Rams with Rush at QB it would be Chaos.

Well. Where is it?

I would like to see some Chaos as much as the next guy.

Still waiting.

I want to see Parsons fold Hurts up like a lawn chair.

Stop the run game and spy Hurts and we will be fine. Only one that scares me is AJ Brown. Dude is Dez on steroids. I can see Hurts running those off tackle runs he’s notorious for a lot too. It’s been our weakness when Parsons is at end. Fournette ate a lot that way.

Run, run and then run some more. Slow the game down and then sprinkle in some play action. We MUST win the turnover and T.O.P. battles. And when Hurts runs, take tomahawk swipes at the ball. That guy is a fumble waiting to happen.
