I See Only One Way To Beat The Eagles With Rush

For some reason Philly does not scare me. Maybe I am just underestimating them. The Dallas defense has given hurts problems ever since he has been a starter. I don’t think we blow them out by any means, but I don’t see them having much success against this defense.

Yeah that Vikings victory looks impressive because they beat them soundly and it was the Vikings only loss. But other than that they beat Detroit, Washington, Jacksonville, and Arizona. Combined record those teams have is 6-14. To be fair though outside the Giants all the teams we've beaten have losing records as well so we'll see.

Yes, you are correct and that's where patience comes in. They can't let the Eagles control the LOS. I sit Schultz in this one and get all those big bodies out there to run block. Leak a TE or RB out once in a while to keep the LBs and Ss honest.

Bingo! That would be my game plan.

Stop the run game and spy Hurts and we will be fine. Only one that scares me is AJ Brown. Dude is Dez on steroids. I can see Hurts running those off tackle runs he’s notorious for a lot too. It’s been our weakness when Parsons is at end. Fournette ate a lot that way.

Stop the run is a must. Spy is a good idea as well. I believe we have the better staff also.
Do these two things, and I like the boy’s chances.
I know they can do this, just hope it happens.

There will be some opportunities to beat the eagles, but they are going to be very few, don't think for a second they are not going to be ready.

They hate us, they remember last year poundings, they are flying high, it would not surprise me if they try to run up the score on us or open up with a trick play.

We can not allow: Drops, Hurts fleeing outside the pocket, FGs inside the 20 instead of TDs, Flags on our blocking or Sack/ fumbles.

Playing mistake free football is our shot. Get up in the score early, stuff their running game and free our dogs on D after their dollar store Michael Vick.

Just run the dang ball. The Eagles are giving up 5 yards/rush. That's actually worse than the Cowboys. If the Cowboys can get that running game going, it will create opportunities in the passing game and keep Philly's offense off the field.

Winning TOP and not allowing Philly to get a rhythm on offense will be a valuable compliment to a persistent and patient running game. Patience will be key here. Moore can't get jumpy with his play calling looking for chunks of yards to make up for a unproductive play or two.

The defense will do its thing as long as they are not left hang out to dry from excessive 3 and outs and or turnovers by Cowboys offense. They will need a high energy effort with relentless rallying to the ball. They need the offense to play smart and physical football.

It's on!
Phillys been ahead virtually the entirety of the first five games… That lends itself to teams throwing the ball a lot, which causes Philly to be focussing on the pass more than the run…Which means the rush, at least at a yard per attempt basis, will be bad…

If we can run the ball against the Eagles we win this one going away.

I would have Dono and Parsons spying Hurts. If Hurts can't run, I don't fear their offense. But, of course, he has been able to run. Cowboys need to lock him down. I feel like we can lock down a running QB better than we can a RB.

While you are correct, the defense is likely going to stack the box and force the Cowboys to throw. I feel like we need to also count on our WR’s to NOT drop anymore balls. We cannot have any drops in a game like this.

Special teams will also need to step up to aid the offense in getting some blocked punts and hopefully defense can get some takeaways.

Field position will be important.

I think running the ball is key but only if you use play action off it. Cowboys can't play scared, you must use play action and you must challenge them deep on occasions to get them to back off the line last thing you want is 11 men playing close the line because they know you will not challenge them.

I did see an effort to get more creative in the running game vs the Rams. We need more of that.

I think that Cooper Rush needs to throw for at least 200 yards and a couple of passing TDs, then hope we can get some more points from the running game, defense and special teams. And if the special teams and defense gives Cooper Rush and the offense short fields, Kellen Moore has to find a way to get the ball into the end zone. Can't settle for FGs too much.
