I remember reading a Vela piece the other day about Leonard Davis, where he was talking about our line in the mid-90s, he compared him to Kevin Gogan, where we had the left-side of the line, LT, LG, who could pull and sweep very well, and how on the right side, RG, RT, Gogan and Erik Williams, who were straight-ahead maulers

it makes sense since Garrett is the OC, and was a part of that offense, that he would decide to implement it again here, also, since the line scheme we've been employing the past few years is one that focuses on linemen who can pull and sweep, and in which there are indications that we won't be going very far from that

our line will be one where Flo, hopefully McQ in the future, and Kosier doing the majority of the pulling and sweeping when we run to the left-side, and Davis at RG, and hopefully Columbo at RT, being the straight-ahead maulers when we run to the right-side, those 4 guys sandwiching Gurode who is a mauler, and can also pull and sweep

the best of both worlds? I think so

I hope you are right and it works if that's the case. I'm still a bit puzzled about what the scheme is going to be.

I still will not surpised if we draft Blalock or Grubbs to simply maul...

I dont think Flozell's strengths are in pulling. I think Flo, Gurode, and Davis are the maulers, while Kosier and Columbo can be better pullers. I do like the point you bring up, that our line does have some versitility in how we can use them.
