What makes it so hard to believe is the way this team continuously loses. They are so disappointing because they go up and down the field every week but don't have the points to show for it. Turnovers and penalties are killing this team like never before.
The one thing i felt good about, even after the slow start, was the defense. But they have been a huge disappointment. They have made jay cutler and vince young look like all pro quarterbacks. They can't get pressure on the quarterback without bringing an all out blitz. Even that gets picked up for a couple seconds and gives the offense huge chances for big plays.
Felix averages over 7 yards a carry, but only gets it 15 times. We never trailed by more than 7 in the second half, yet garret panicked and got away from the run, once again. But one thing i did notice was that felix takes himself out of the game more than anyone i have ever seen.
Romo's pick in the endzone was huge too. You can't throw that ball into triple coverage. Live to play another down.
Say what you want about the unsportsmanlike penalty. You still can't give up that huge return. I was hoping they would kick it out of bounds and give them the ball at the 40. I don't know why teams don't do that on safety kicks and also the position we were in. There is almost no way to stop them short of the 40.
I will still get amped up for the game next weekend, but i am no longer surprised when we lose. Its just so frustrating that we committ these penalties over and over, turn the ball over so much, and refuse to force turnovers on defense. This defense is no longer a strength. Next week could be rough with the right side of our oline playing like complete crap.
