Romo made some hard-to-watch mistakes last night but made this offense look like it is supposed to when he was not throwing those pics. He has a stronger arm than I first perceived and seems to be a bit more passionate than I expected as well.

With all that said, the defense will look better with a lead and the offense will look better when not being blitzed by teams coming straight up the field to sack an immobile QB.

We are finally going to see what this offense is supposed to look like and it will be lovely.

Mark my words.

10-6

wild card.

anything goes after that...

Maybe, but keep this in mind..If I told you that we could take a QB that hasn't played in this league and go 7-3 over his first 10 games, you would tell me I was crazy. But that is exactly what you are saying. Is it possible, yes, likely no. For that to happen, everyone around him will have to step up their game tremendously,, including the coach's, which have shown no signs of being able to do that.

anything is possible but i don't see where all those wins will come from. 9 wins would be a major vistory with a young qb and the schedule we have . but 9 wins might get you in the playoffs if we can win out in our division. that is a big if though

There is no way. Did you see Romo running for his life last night? This week Julius Peppers will kill Romo. This was a knee jerk reaction last night that will now make us suffer through growing pains. 7-9 is what I see now. And the defense is totally overrated!!!!! They can't stop any team that can pass. Zimmer has no idea how to coach this defense.

This may be true, we won't know for a couple of games though.

This is the most over-used phrase of the season! You are just hoping the defense will look better. Tell me one good team they have played against and looked even good, not great but good? None...so yeah they may look better and Tony Romo may be the next Brady but odds are...

Wishful thinking. I would not be so confident if I were you, might come back to haunt you...just like that idiot who thought the Cowboys were going to go undefeated from NY on this past Sunday...where is he today?

Some people obviously didn't get the memo that the season is over now that Romo has played in a meaningful situation.

Look, this team isn't as bad as they showed last night. I know that because only the Raiders have looked that bad this season...

I think the Cowboys can recover and play better football. The real issue is whether or not that will be enough?

If Romo stays as the QB, your line may get better simply by having a more mobile QB behind them. Maybe Julius can get back on track again. He was playing good football until last night when his line couldn't block anyone.

Also remember, this team has a lot of weapons at the skill positions. If Romo can just get the ball into their hands without making huge mistakes, they can do a lot of damage. In fact, TO may become a bigger factor. Terry Glenn is still a great route runner who knows how to get open and make plays. Jason Witten should also be more involved, if last night is any indication.

The bottom line is that there are a ton of things that need to be fixed on this team, but they are fixable. It's not like the season is over or all hope is lost. The team is behind the chains a little bit right now, but if they can get a win this weekend everything will look good again.

When was the last time that Dallas has reeled off a stretch of wins, more importantly, more than 3 at a time?

I feel more comfortable about doing that with Romo than I do with Bledsoe.

Why don't people realize that Romo gives us a better chance to win NOW. Why adjust expectations. The whole veteran argument hold weight when talking about a Steve McNair or Brad Johnson. Bledsoe on the other hand, is a complete liability who STILL makes rookie mistakes. He's never really stepped up in big games. Maybe you guys didn't see the same Philly and Jax games that I did? In Buffalo he had the #2 defense in the league and they could only eak out a 9-7 record.

Works both ways:

Actually, the "rookie" romo will look worse when he isn't playing against a defense that is up by 21 points in the 4th quarter.
