He probably had his worst game of his whole career today. This whole week I don't think his head was on the field which is rare for him. With that said id bet this won't be the norm from here on out. The game was a boring shitshow across the board.

I said prior to Dez returning vs Seattle he wouldn't be 100% and that it would take a few games for him to return to form if he ever does this season.

Dez hurt his knee last week so I'm sure that was affecting him little along with his foot still healing. He did miss a lot of practice time during camp due to an injury and he didn't play at all during preseason. He was thrown back into action without a lot of practice time and when he gets frustrated he loses his focus.

He didn't even try for the ball, that is what is amazing. He actually turns to the ref and starts to agru while the ball is going over his head................He could have at least prevented the pick if he didn't turn to the ref while the ball was still in play.

If I had a twitter account I would tell Dez he sucks because I could have made either of those catches easily!

Maybe JJT is right after all................Dez got paid and checked out.

How else do you explain totally getting owned by Tampa's 4th and 5th string corners?

we screwed the pooch by playing hardball with him in the offseason and threatening to tag him with the franchise. Dude is not wired correctly.

Team should have let him go...and grabbed a couple of receivers for the immediate season instead. He needs to consistently produce like a top-five receiver to warrant that contract. He's not going do it.

But I'm sure--for some of the fans here--it will be everybody's fault except Dez's whenever he doesn't get it done.

Not the first pass he didn't appear to see. There was one in another game that it clearly showed he didn't know where the ball was. I think he's not in game shape, and probably not used to full speed running, cutting etc.

We have several like him on the field now. Hardy/McClain to add to the mix. You can't miss a whole season, or real games and expect to immediately return to your prior form. Sure you may get some " fresher than them like hardy's new england game" but after awhile the non game shape factor comes in

I think he simply gave up on that last play. Granted there was a push but you still have to atleast make a play on the ball.

Push or not in that situation Dez needed to go up and fight for that ball. If a flag was thrown so be it. He relied on what he thought was a sure penalty to make a decision to not go after the ball. Game Over!

I thought Dez probably lost sight of the ball, but in his interview he didn't say that and to his credit took the blame. I believe he said something to the effect of, he was expecting a call. I'm wondering if he isn't at least tentative about his foot, or maybe it was the knee, but we all know the old Dez overpowers that guy, skies and probably pulls it in.

I just disagree. There isn't much you can do when you're interfered with, hence why it's a penalty.

Sure it looked like he quit, but what could he do once he was pushed out of position?

He was pushed from behind. You can't really fight for something that's behind you.

Try it. Have a friend toss you a tennis ball and another friend push you from behind right before the ball gets to you.

You can only battle if you know the push is coming. But if the push is coming, it's PI.

I find his issues to be mental rather than physical. He looks rusty, as though he missed 6 weeks of practice and most of training camp.
