I take back everything I said about Pickens!

Pickens is a rare weapon. The guy makes so many incredible catches, week-after-week. The last guy that I remember seeing do these kinds of things was prime Randy Moss.

I know people will get riled up about that comparison but that is how I see it.

When the ball is in the air, other team’s fans (and other teams) are just holding their breath and breaking out in a cold sweat because more times than not, Pickens is going to get the ball and end up embarrassing your DB’s.

Hell, he even did it in the pro bowl (flag football).

No other WR is even close to GP and how he tracks and catches the ball. There are some great WR’s in the league - including Lamb - but none of them have anything close to the knack that Pickens has for finding the ball and catching it in some absurd way.

To me, GP is incredibly valuable because he is such a chain mover and touchdown maker that he can make a huge difference between a win and a loss. What he brings to the offense can’t really be replaced by anyone, IMO. Nobody else consistently finds and catches the ball like he does.

If the defense is much better and doesn’t lose games on its own, like last year, I think we’re going to see just how valuable Pickens can be. And like I said, I don’t think he can be replaced because nobody else can even do what he does on those 50/50 balls.

Anyway, I think he is being way undervalued by everyone. It is incredible what he can do. When the ball is up and he’s locked in on it, you just know that guy is going to come down with it.

GP opposite Lamb must be a nightmare for defensive coordinators.

He is absolutely like Moss in that regard. I would compare him to a prime Dez as well.

Ok just stick to being basic just like BLUE should just be able to be fast and make big plays, but NOT be expected at times to stay in and pass block, or hell to even protect the ball so he doesn't fumble!

Jerry had a chance to sign him for 35M or so this year if he jumped early. but he waited and market is at 42M and next year at 45M ...my guess is the raiders........and he is going to play lights out and cash in. good for us in 2026. all we get in return is a 3rd round pick.

When teams decide they need to stop Pickens on the slant play… they can do it. However, it opens up certain other kinds of routes when they sell out to stop the slant.

Schotty and Klayton Adams know which plays those are, and you can bet that they’ll be calling plenty of them this year.

Then the defenses will have to adjust, and those slants will open up again. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

Things are always great with Pickens...until they're not.

He's never been a coaches' favorite because his temperament and commitment can be schizophrenic. The talent is there, but the maturity is still very much in question.

Otherwise, he'd have a huge contract already. He'd still be in Pittsburgh.

Let's hope he finally puts all this together here.

There is little reason to doubt George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb will destroy defenses IF this offensive line gels into a cohesive, formidable four-quarter pass-blocking wall. That is my dream. It will be a nightmare if the unit excels at their jobs, but Pickens and Lamb do not end up tearing coverages apart.
