I think Diggs is overrated

He doesn't seem to break up/defend very many passes.

I get it when QB's don't throw to receivers Diggs is covering because they fear/respect him. But really, how often is that? Watching the game yesterday, every time a receiver caught one and Diggs was around or in on the tackle, I commented to the Mrs. "nice coverage Diggs." Seems like I said that frequently.

According to PPP he has been targeted 71 times and receivers caught the ball 48 times. 67.6% success rate. The website Sportskeeda has him as the 5th best CB in the league.

Am I totally off base here? I could be completely wrong about this line of thinking.

I think replicating what he did last year is tough, and every CB gets beat one time or another. I think what we need is another CB opposite him.

He thinks that just because you're new, it increases the probability that you're a fan of a different team.

In some cases, I see it, but to reply to your OP, it's not always easy to tell in real time if a receiver was Diggs's responsibility. Also, if the catch is only for a few yards they may not count it against him.

Diggs is an aggressive corner. He'll make plays but give up plays in the process.
Would be nice to have a Revis/Sanders level corner, but that's a generational player. Diggs IMO is still a very good corner. Almost like Xavien Howard with Miami a few years back. Both known for their INTs but don't have that talent to be true shut down corners as they try to bait the QB to throw their way with some success and failure.

True that while watching the game on tv, we don't see the whole field of play each play. So I may be missing some great coverage provided by Diggs.
