I know that it's early in training camp and they are really not hitting much but from the reports that I have been reading that Hurd is looking good.

Hurd has been running very good routes, getting seperation and catching the ball well with his hands.

I guess the time that Hurd has spent with T.O. is paying off. I think Hurd could be the man to replace Glenn in our three WR set.

I have been very impressed how quickly Hurd has matured as a WR and with Glenn gone, I think Hurd will benefit the most and become either our #2 or slot guy when the season starts.

And as far as the slot, I believe the coaches prefer to put TO in the slot.

Sure, they will move T.O. all over the place. IMO, Crayton should move to the slot and Hurd the #2. We will see what coach Sherman will do.

He's not built for the position... not nearly quick enough. He needs to utilize his size and get even bigger and stronger. He's a number two in an ideal world-- that is if he can overachieve consistently.

I agree with the person who started the thread. But having seen Stanbach live, he looks like the best physical specimen out there.

But I think Hurd gets the number two/three. Remember, we really didn't have a number two last year because of they way we run out offense. We'll be just fine. I think between him, T.O. and Crayton they can get the job done.

Don't forget out Austin, either. I liked Terry, but he's gone. It's time for the survival of the fittest contest.

Right now, I'm picking Hurd to win out.

Yep, it creates mismatches and he works the middle to the outside a lot better than outside to middle, imo.

I don't know if Hurd is the one.
But I do believe in giving him lots of snaps. Once given the chance, I think he'd hungrier than Swinton . . . I mean Crayton.
Crayton will be at best, a journeyman WR, nothing more nothing less.
All we are saying, is give Hurd a chance.
