The eagles made all that noise last year, to have to let go of so many players, add slay to the mix. The Rams going through the same. All of this comes from spending big, sure it looks good, makes the fans go wild. In the end, how long can you keep a team built this way??

Side note: We all know the eagles make a surprise move every season, let's just wait to see what happens! Lol

Yes. Use teams that have both accomplished significantly more than the cowboys in the last 25 years to prove how smart Jerry

OP can’t be older than 21. I am certain of that. 21 might he a stretch , this guy is in his 3rd season following the nfl. Maybe less

Eagles will sign Zeke as their surprise move. And unless Jerry fixes the DT. Zeke will jam the ball up the middle for big gains on us.

Actually I think the Eagles are concerned with the looming contract on Hurts, so may not make the big FA signings as they have in the past.
They will draft well though, as they have the draft capital in 2, 1st round picks to move around.

I like the approach so far in FA, though it is not much different than previous years. The trade for Gilmore is great.

Or who ever is advising him and he’s listening
We never know what’s going on behind those walks but someone has him making good decisions. The trade for Gillmore was a really good deal

The thing is thats true with the Eagles looming a 40-50 mil deal for Hurts and Rams tearing it down.
One thing I want to mention other than Dak the Cowboy contracts are not real bad looming Lamb and etc.

LVE signing for 2 years at 8 mil with a max contract of 10 mil with incentives is a REAL BARGAIN

They can let players walk and replace them with cheaper players. The perfect situation to be in. So long as you draft well

Wow, what does 21 have to do with it, what a lousy response. I think it is a very could question. What does 25 years have to do with it. It is about what has happened in recent years actually.
So how old are you to respond this way, 18?

no. The eagles won the super bowl and lost the Super Bowl. And lost another. And lost many other nfc champ games.
Im speaking of the most recent vintage. OP seems to think maintaining an 9-12 win, one or two and done in the playoffs status quo is better that actually accomplishing something significant.

This is how the Jones boys get fans believing every year

The eagles didn’t so much as spend big, but restructured the proration of a bunch of contracts long after those contracts expired or voided. They ran into a season where a lot of starters were FAs and the contracts to possibly restructure were exhausted!

Eagles and rams both won a Super Bowl and appeared in another in the last 5 years.
