Yes, today wasn't quiet at all. Do you know why?
That's because most of the best players were signed today.
However, things will start quieting down in a few days....because all the free agents that could actually make an impact will be gone.
Soon it will be time for the Cowboys to step in and rummage through the leftovers.
They have many needs to check off their list:
* That undrafted free agent CB that started 8 games in four years. He will be brought in to "compete" and add "depth" while ending up on injured reserve before the season starts.
* The disappointing offensive lineman, a former 2nd round pick that has already been deemed a "bust". The Jones's will tout the fact that he was willing to play for the league minimum. What a bargain! Too bad he will be cut before the end of training camp.
* Of course, we have to get the former Pro Bowler D-lineman that used to dominate back when Micah was in 1st grade. He was going to retire but couldn't resist stealing some of Jerry's money on his way out the door.
* Then there is the busted and broken, barely able to run, linebacker that has been through three major surgeries while missing 80% of his regular seasons. But do you remember that great rookie season a decade ago?
* Let's not forget the one or two special teamers whose names are completely unknown to us until Jerry introduces them in a press conference.
Can't wait until the Cowboys begin to fill in the bottom 10% of their roster.
