imo calling out barber was good. This will FIRE barber up and he will have a huge game. Jerry is the man... He needs to start calling out more players, except for T.O.

I think Jerry should call out the secondary....

I bet this will make them fired up.

Besides Marion is just ok this year. Hes not Top 10 in yards and in the NFC hes 10th.. Meaning 9 other backs are doing better..

Marion needs to improve... hes averaging a 3.9 and needs to live up to his new contract

Marrion Barber is not an elite back, but it is not his fault that he got paid like one. As for being called out, he gives 100% no matter what and his toughness should not have been called out. No one plays with his ferocity. I really beleive that he is a much better back when splitting carries than getting a full time load.

Why would he not call out T.O., every player should be held accountable for their actions..unfortunetely they are not.

I don't have a problem with him calling players out if he's CONSISTENT about it.

Where is his criticism of PacMan, TO, and others who deserve it?

Personally, this can be a good or bad thing. Barber may come out with some fire and passion and run wild. Or it could tear the team apart.

I hope this fires Barber up since I am counting on him in fantasy football playoff game this week. Grabbed the last spot. Hopefully this will be true for our beloved Cowboys.

I really don't think Jerry has deft psychological mind game moves. He either spoke out of turn or taken out of context as is often the case with the local media to incite controversy.

It wasnt a good move. It was a stupid old man doing what he's been doing since he took over this franchise and that's run his mouth and himself look like an arse instead of falling back out of the spotlight like he should.

And like others said, Barber has done nothing to warrant this criticism before T.O., Pacman, Ellis or even Romo.

I see at as rather brilliant, honestly.

There is no more time waiting to get completely healthy, that deadline was about 2 weeks ago.

This team has to go now, not in a week or two, and if Jerry feels the need to try and add a sence of urgency, and fortitude, to the atmosphere at valley ranch than so be it.

At what point do you decide between massaging egos, and yelling out a war cry.

If Jerrys choice of motivation works, than than Cowboys Nation well once again be in his corner.

What is there to be in Jerry's corner about? Barber doesnt have an ego and is the last guy on this team that should be questioned. There's nothing brilliant about questioning the guy who plays with the biggest heart on your team.

It's entirely your choice if you want to view it as JJ personally singling out MB3, which obviously he did if taken totally in context.

Personally I would consider the statement made by Jones to be more of a time-line injury, your the target, take the heat, and Barber can.

MB3 just happened to be the appropriate target at the wrong/right time, again perspective.

Jerrys plea is directed at the entire offense, and MB3 has become a leader.

Who better to direct this burden to.

Time to play like warriors and suck it up, the time for healing was weeks ago.

Taken out of context or not, I believe his comment was his surprise that Marion was not playing. Jones specifically said he could play with that injury and soreness.

It's far from brilliant and likely a sign of frustration and further, hopefully the first signs of this clown coming unraveled: maybe we can hope he'll lose all faith and stop trying to be what he's not: An NFL GM.

You call it brilliance. I call it an idiot old country boy pulling an Al Davis routine with the talent to cover up for it until December and January.

Jerry is hardly one to talk.

That guy is a warrior with how many plastic surgeries he has survived. Totally gives him the right to call out a player like Marion.

Im by no means a genius, and far from brilliant, most of the time,,:D

That character trait seems to follow most people in general, no matter how nice their tie.

From what I heard on sports talk today he did. There was no audio, why? I don't know.

I would think it's a safe bet barber would just let it roll of his back any how.
He doesn't seem to get rattled by any thing.

ROTFLMAO. Jerry is an idiot and among other things not a licensed physician nor trainer.

He needs to SHUT UP and get a clue. The trainers said he was not ready and could create further injury.

Jerry needs to fire up his BRAIN.
