I think MM directed Moore to be bland

MM directed Moore to be bland. He told the starters play a half and a series and I will get you out BUT this is the NFL and the teams are so close now that if you take your foot off the gas even a little you can half this type of performance. This had a preseason type feel. Remember Brad Sham said they would be trying things and remember coming out of half they said they wanted to pull players. It didnt workout like that. MM wanted tbay and he got them now prepare for it. You better have some changeups like moving Micah around AND up the middle hitting the weakest link. Tom Brady needs to have someone in his face just watch cinnci and the saints game. Hit their weakest links on D too.
Maybe, maybe not, but IMHO, that can also be said about the whole “we’re doomed because we suck” crowd. The truth lies somewhere in the middle. We probably did play it vanilla, and we certainly didn’t have an edge, but you can’t do that in today’s NFL and expect to win. We had a division rival with nothing to lose, in their house, and I think we just arrogantly assumed our half-assed approach would be good enough. It wasn’t.

I hope so because that was pathetic. I would be fired for such poor performance.

The lengths one will go to......to excuse KMoore/Air Coryell Jr's offensive prowess. Wow!

Listen to Nate..... called out Dak (32:15).......called out Micah for undisciplined play (32:58). What are the coordinators doing?

Ha. Whatever you need to do to get through cope I guess.

Dan Quinn told us they were "trying things" to see how players responded in different situations.

The team was not out there with a game plan to beat WFT because they knew it was going to be meaningless.

There is a VERY high likelihood they had already created the gameplan for Tampa.

I very much believe this team will beat Tampa and all this handwringing by fans/media will look really bad.

Nope.

We tried to win. We looked pathetic. The rationalizations about why we looked so bad are getting old. We sucked plain and simple but we tried to win. Sometimes you suck. Sunday we sucked. And it's not the best time to suck, admittedly.
I don't think so. The team took the week off. No one can be that bad. But hey, for all I know, you're right.

This is what I think happened. The players were taking the week off because they knew there was no way in hell the Giants were winning. But in the off chance a miracle happened, can't blame the coach, he had his starters out there. Because if big Mike rested starters and the Giants won, that's his job.

If God came down and told me I was wrong and you were right, I would come out of retirement and put a few thousand bucks on the Bucs. Zero chance Dallas wins. Because that was worse than just sucking. It was on another level.

Let's look at it another way.

We have a coaching staff problem then if they threw in the towel and purposely played bland and potentially look like that heading into the postseason. If you were going to play that bland and lazy and stupid, then it was a crime playing most of your starters, including some that probably could have used the rest/protection.

So frankly, if you believe we half assed it because we didn't care about winning, then the coaching staff should be under fire for risking key players to injury in what they deemed a meaningless game.

If this was true rush would have played the 2nd half. But they were trying to get something going. No coach wants to enter the playoffs on such a bad note

Not sure it matters, hasn't the theme for many here saying they don't care what the Cowboys do in the reg season and that it is all about the playoffs? Well playoffs are here

Guess we will find out Monday if momentum going into playoffs is a big deal.......

I think you mean a 180. A 360 degree turn would have them facing the same direction doing the same sloppy play like Groundhog Day.(Sorry it's the pilot in me.)
540, they have to at least make the same mistakes twice.

Nope. They were terrible…and have not been consistent in weeks. Too many turnovers…Dak has to play mistake free against Tampa.

Just playing devil's advocate, but if this was the case why only 3 playaction passes all game?. Where was the motion we have been use to seeing the last weeks?

I don't want to watch it again, but from what I recall it looked like really simple route running and scheme. They did not do the thing that were helping the passing game to be successful in previous weeks.

I'd like to beleive that was the case. KM does this very well on his own.

One thing should be clear. We fail next Monday? McCarthy better take over as play caller or what little respect as a head coach most have. Will be gone.
I think this is the plan for next year, regardless.
Just an opinion. Reading the tea leaves.
Big Mike will call the plays next year.
