Giants definatly looked good tonight. I think their 1-2 punch of Barber and Jacobs is going to give a lot of teams fits...

The weak spot on their O is still the QB. Eli is streaky, and he still makes thebig mistakes at critical times. Just like his brother. And the Giants secondary is not that much improved over last year.

I'm not sure if the Giants are that good running the ball, or if the Colts are just that bad defensively . . .

I loved how the Giant tackles defended against Freeney. Just give him a little shove and let him run himself right out of the play . . .

Indy's defense is horrible on the road

NY's offensive production tells us nothing we don't already know... that Indy has got an undersized defense

Eli looks better? wow, you must not care much for acuracy in your QBs

Just shows how much a draw play to his side can really hurt that team...

He was doing it on pass plays too. I kept watching him hoping to see him take Mannings head off . . . and he would always just run 10 yards upfield, and then try and turn into the QB . . .

Either that, or he'd get stonewalled on his spin move.

But most times he just ran up field like a moron.

Man, does Tom "cough...cough..."Coughlin really hate to lose. Basically chastised his entire team during the post-game PC.

Eagles in 1st place. Enjoy it while you can, Eagle fans. ;)

NYG clearly the class of our division....I just hope we can keep it close.
Whatever. There's no reason we can't beat these guys in Dallas.

He really did shove him by with his elbow though....

I have seen worse not called though.

Yeah it almost seemed like a shoulder followed by an elbow... it lead to the defender being pushed away and to the ground... good call!!!

After watching the Giants play I think we could be in trouble in our division. They can really run the ball and get after the passer and Eli is looking better than last year also. Every team that plays them is going to have it's hand full thats for sure. Kinda reminds me of our 1992 team.

We played a good team and lost on the road. NYG played a good team and lost at home. We are both in a tie for second place. Lotta ball to be played.

I wish we could've played the Texans today... And the person that brags about their running game, with all due respect, our line is much bigger and stronger than INDY's line - no way they run like that on us..

I'm afraid their running game will bulldoze us. If we beat the NYG, it'll be because Eli threw the game away and played poorly. He's their weak link. Otherwise, they have a very balanced team on both O and D. And rest assured that their DL will be in our backfield all day long, just like last year.
Who will throw the game away first...Drew or Eli?
I too think that we can beat them at home, but overall they looked to me like the best team in our division, esp when they ran the ball like they did last night. I know it was the Colts, but Tiki and Jacobs > JJ and MBIII and it isn't very close.

As for the Colts...I think they are missing Edge worse than everyone thought they would. They are going to lose some games this year because teams won't respect their running game. Their success is even MORE on the shoulders of Peyton, which doesn't bode well for them. I can't wait to see them play Jax, because Jax will stop their run game with 4 DL and drop 7 into coverage.
The Colts D is as bad as its ever been, its quite amazing that their D could be that bad year in and year out. Freeney is a very overrated DE. I've said it for two years now...all he does is run 8 yards upfield on EVERY PLAY. It doens't matter if its a running play right at him. He'll be 8 yards upfield. I honestly think that there are a number of other good DEs who could have as many sacks as him or more if they went after the QB on EVERY PLAY and had no concern whatsoever for playing the run or coverage.
Did the Colts D look a LOT like the Chiefs D last year where they couldn't tackle anyone?
No way on earth Colts will start this year 13-0. They could lose 6 games this year. They are 1 WR injury away from not being able to win their division.

Bingo, the Colts were just horrible defending the run.

What I don't understand is how with 5 minutes left in the game, the Giants decided to abandon the run and instead put the ball in Eli's hands. Coughling blew it for New York as far as I'm concerned.
