Go ahead and pencil in Free and Ball as the starters, draft Iupati or Pouncey in the first, Allen or Burnett in the second and let them battle it out in training camp. We could have a few rookies starting for us next year. What do you think?

Sounds good.

Why just churn the bottom of the roster. It may be costly but it may also pan out.

Flo was in decline and Hamlin was fat and happy. Maybe these young guys just need an opportunity.

i think your dead on, unless for some strange luck of events say a dez bryant, colt mccoy, or tebow drops and some team offers us their 2nd, 4th, 7th and a future # 1 pick in 2011. then, i think jerry listens to that.

If cowboys come away with this, they can do one or 2 things with acquiring that high # 1. that means in 2011, they have 1, 1, 2, and 3rd. They can for all purposes trade their 2nd or 3rd in 2011 for a 3rd or 4th and get another good player in this draft, possibly even trading their 5th rounder in 2011 to get a # 4 pick this year.

This draft is loaded, so you want to load up with draft picks

I still dont know why the cowboys didnt try and trade Flozell because reports are that 3 teams are trying to acquire his services now. So, surely you could have gotten a 2nd to 4th rounder for Flozell.

I thnk 27 is a really good spot to be if Tebow is there.

Sure, teams would be interested in Flo for no compensation and a modest salary but who would want to give up picks and have to honor that huge salary. He had no trade value whatsoever. Same thing basically goes for Hamlin.

I think you are probably a lot closer to right than you know.

Don't count out McCourty in round 1 though.

ya, I think he is going in the twenties and for sure won't make it past the top few picks in the second.

27 could be a great place to be in.

To replace Hamlin.

Who better than a QB to replace the QB of our secondary?

given a year in our system I have no doubts Tebow could at least equal Hamilins play.

I'm nervous as hell to have a rookie protecting Romo's back side. This team is built to win the Super Bowl. The Cowboy brass sure rolled the dice today.

The timing seems odd to me too, but I have confidence in the organization. Every year teams start rookies or replace injured starters with "nobodies" and do fine. Why can't we?

I'm not sure we draft a tackle early to start. Free is going to start, and don't count out Mike Hamlin to compete for the starting job. I would like Iupati or Pouncey in the first, and either Nate Allen (doubtful) or Burnett in the 2nd, or we get AOA in the 3rd.

Who says we're going to have a rookie protecting Romo? I think we're going to slide Free right over.

I really hope you are right and Free can play the position well.

I think Ducasse is the team's first rounder.

Then they pray like heck that Nate Allen lasts until round 2!

A bad *** kick returner. Is that too much to ask for?

McCourty at #27. Ball will start at FS, Free will start at LT.

Does anyone else think that either Gurode or Leonard Davis will be on our offensive line until they're 40 like Bruce Smith? Especially Leonard Davis, with RG being probably the least demanding position on the field.
