I think this staff has gotten through to Jerry Jones

Yes, I said gotten…

We’re talking about trading up in the draft and that has been documented by good sources.

We’re talking about treating Micah Parsons - a complete loudmouth and off the field distraction let’s hope it happens

We’re talking about taking a quarterback we went public with it to the how fantastic is that we’ve all been screaming for it and now it could very well happen.
I like Howard from Ohio State - I like Ewers pedigree- whoever just make it happen.

The head coach and the new offensive coordinator both went public and talked about our lack of physicality in the trenches and how that’s gonna be the first thing that changes we’re looking to become a mean football team.

We haven’t been mean since Mark Tuinei and Erik Williams were here.

I’m not really crazy about the defensive coordinator, but hopefully he redeems himself.

I like our direction I really do and this coach is not here for a year until Deion Sanders or someone else wants a job no way Jerry gave this guy a four year deal to sit out for three years and collect checks.

He’s gonna get a legit chance.

The only thing I can go by Schottenheimeris, I watched him take Mark Sanchez in the New York Jets to the AFC title game which they should’ve won.
That was a hell of a football team and a hell of an offense great running game offensive line.

I hope we replicate that offense.

Sure, but trading up for what? Let me guess, another CB, perhaps a WR.

All a smoke screen to keep the Cowboys in the news. I only believe in actions, words are meaningless.
Jerry the 80 year old billionaire with an ego the size of grand canyon will not be influenced by any staff. Jerry is about making money. He realizes Shotty needs to be precieved by the public that he is his own man. Jerry is staying quiet because he knows fans are tiring of his B.S.

In the end the same ole same ole Jerry will appear. Watch.

We are gonna have to hit on 3-5 impact players this draft and sign 2-3 impact FA's that are not our own to compete.
Spot on. There is no one in the NFL who thinks we are a player or two away from winning the Division. We need a lot.

Hopefully we take a big step forward in the draft. Our last couple of drafts have yielded no difference makers. Overshown is a great story if he makes it back. However he has has significant leg injuries twice. He may never be what he could have been. We need 5 starters out of this draft. Anything less is not enough.

This is where the monstrous 1st and 2nd round draft gaffes start really showing up. And no, no hindsight being used, I and many others thought they were huge mistakes at the time. Can you imagine Tavondre Sweat in the middle of our DLine? Massive Torrence at OG and some good tough WRs, LBs, and a starting RB? These are the players we gave up for monstrous draft gaffes.

Jerry really is smarter than the majority of this fanbase.

He gets em buying in every single year without fail.
Not at all, he brings a product and fans buy into football...some just crying about the sport part. Anyone apply for the high paying Cowboy jobs here?

The Cowboys have mentioned drafting a QB since both of our backups are FA.

But it’s not likely to be an early pick. Most likely it’s a second day pick in middle rounds.

And I’ve neither read or heard anything locally which would suggest we are entertaining trades with Parsons. Instead the chatter is about how much will the deal be.

Now if a QB like Howard or Ewers is sitting there in middle rounds which they could be then I could see us drafting them.

And I wouldn’t rule out moving up in 2nd or 3rd round to get one of them. But neither is expected to be a Day 1 pick.

Ewers is better then any of our backups for years. He is mentally tough, throws with anticipation and has good ball placement. Someone in going to draft him in the 3rd round. He is more then a game manager. Remember he was injured all year with an obligue issue and played with it. That is the same injury that knocked out Carr for the year.

He could be better then many folks think. Lot of wins in college in a pro style offense, with a good pro level head coach.

Like I said. Middle rounds is 3rd round. Might even could be a late 2nd round pick. Teams always stretch for a QB.

Ha ha. Jones got snookered again. Deebo for a fifth rounder. Mingo for a fourth. You keep believing this moron is going to change. I also got a bridge to sell ya.

It's like you get your little numnums aroarin' talking about other fans!!!!
Coach Ranch ( former HS coach) when he sticks to football analysis actually can provide some keen insight. But he took a lot of abuse when coaching from fans and parents criticism and struggles balancing those without football experience speaking out. And his homer flag waves in response.

Business smart, yes. Football smart, not even close.
Yep, but he has a point. Too many fans at least up until now have largely bought in despite Jethro’s football idiocy’s. Hopefully that is changing. Unfortunately we probably won’t see the changes at the cash register.
