Bash me if you want, but I think that this team CAN get it going in the second half of the season.

First of all, let's look at each loss.....

#1: Jacksonville. What was the achilles heel in that game? 3 INT's by Bledsoe at inopportune times and a missed FG by Suisham. Yet, we were in position to win the game. This was a game that I said we got "Bledsoed".

#2: Philadelphia. Again, the achilles heel? 3 more INT's. Let's not forget about the 3 fumbles and 7 sacks. Yet, if anyone remembers that game, where were we at at the end of the game? About to tie it until Bledsoe throws that out in the endzone which was picked off and returned for a TD. Once again, we got "Bledsoed".

#3. New York. Achilles heel? INT's and sacks again. Romo threw 3 and Bledsoe threw 1. Sacks? 6 of them. 4 on Bledsoe and 2 on Romo. Also what needs to be noted was that Romo came in in the second half and still threw for 227 yards. Not a bad half and we all saw that the team rallied behind him and seemed to play much better. We also saw Romo picking up a couple of longer distance 3rd downs.

#4. Washington. What can you say about this game. We took a vacation and never came back. Washington had a week off just to prepare for us and still barely beat us. It was their Superbowl as it is every year. A dropped pass which would have been a TD by T.O., which was critical, IMO. This is a game where I say that we were "T.O.'ed".

As you can see, QB play played a big role in each of our losses except for the last week. QB play SEEMS to be fixed....at least it has the past couple of weeks.

I think the offense will begin to gel and bring the penalties under control. The escapability of Romo masks the holes in our O-line which REALLY needs revamped in this off-season.

The run defense is fine....it's the pass defense which really concerns me and the lack of a pass rush especially.

I think this team is much better than how they have been playing....and like Peter King says....I'm just waiting on them to show me (or whatever he said. :)

How exactly are we going to 'gel' with games against juggernauts like Indy, NY, Philly, Atlanta and NO?

Munchis.....Out!!!

He was talking about the DALLAS COWBOYS, not any of their opponents. If Dallas can come together and play as a team, execute the gameplan with limited errors and mistakes, then there's no reason they can't have a fine 2nd half of the season. When you're on your p's and q's doing what you're supposed to do, it doesn't matter what the other team is doing, they still won't be able to stop it.

We definetly have the team to win but we have been self destructing at the worst times, as if there was a better time:bang2:

Because IF we do gel, and thats a big IF...then we are a juggernaut...plain and simple.

Juggernauts? Like they can't be beat?

Indy...SQUEAKED by Tennessee and the Jets. They have no running game like they used to. I'm looking forward to seeing Newman stick to Harrison and hoping T-New keeps his no TD's allowed streak alive.

Giants....they lost to Seattle and are without Strahan for about a month. Not to mention they barely beat the TEXANS.

Philly...Are they still a Juggernaut? Puleeze.

Atlanta...Detroit? Juggernaut? Nah.

N.O. Smoke and mirrors. Lost to Baltimore and Carolina.

This is a "new" NFL.....any given Sunday....I just think that they CAN gel.

I TOTALLY AGREE

if you look on one of my other post , posted about 15 minutes ago, I said exactly the same thing. this team is much better than 4-4. penalties and turnovers is what has plauged this team, and thats somthing that can be corrected. we've already seen that the off can move the ball against anybody. and reguardless what anyone says, i think the def is pretty good, not great, but definatley a top 10 def in the nfl. we are also healthy. if the cowboys can just cut way back on penalties and turnovers, this team can beat anybody and will contend. i was mad as he$$ yesterday when we lost the game that should not have been close. but im gona go so far as to say that the cowboys will give colts all they can handle. as long as they dont turn the ball over and cut down of the penalties. i look for a shootout with the colts.
this is my opion.:star:

Indy is 8-0, just won in Denver AND New England so it's safe to say they are the elite team at least in the AFC.

Giants and Egirls are both better than us and backed that up with head to head victories

Vick has finally learned to pass the football and that makes the falcons even more dangerous.

The Saints have all kinds of talent on both sides of the football....losing Sean Payton has set our offense back years.

Munchis....Out!!

Sorry, missed your post as it took me awhile going back and forth to see the play-by-play of the games.

I still think that the biggest part of our losing games, outside of yesterday, was QB play. A position that seemingly may be fixed.

Indy is a team that has already gelled. Yet they squeaked by two teams that they should have blown out...HENCE my point about this being a different NFL and any given Sunday.

Vick is having yet another "flash in the pan" of what it is like to actually complete passes. Again...Detroit?

Giants and Eagles games I already explained....QB play. N.O....flash in the pan, my man...flash in the pan.

losing payton has set the off back years??????????????
what in the world are you talking about????????????
this off has a lot of talent and can move the ball against anybody. how has that set the off back years?????? thats crazy......

It seems to me that we are scoring more points this year than we have in the past.

Yep, penalties are also a killer....but penalties can be overcome like we have seen Romo doing with picking up long 3rd downs.

I really do as well. I think that the future could be pretty bright with him at the helm. Hopefully, he is another player that is like a diamond in the rough.
