I think we could look for 2 positions in FA that

some may not be expecting. While we all hope we look at OL, DL, and LB depth in FA, I think there are two spots that we will look to address is FA that won't cost a mint.

1. Blocking TE - We wanted Davis of the Bears last year, but we couldn't pry him away. While we could always use an OT in specific formations, I think Garrett still wants his blocking TE to help in the running game, short yardage, etc. Again, this is a position that may not get everyone excited in FA, but I think Garrett will continue to search for a blocking TE.

2. Third WR - Jacksonville payed way too much for Robinson, and we decided to go give Ogletree another go. I think that the staff will look for a better yet cheap 3rd wideout candidate to replace Ogletree in FA. Again, I'm not talking about a big contract. But rather a player who is under the radar, perhaps on the injury mend. A guy who our pro personnel department thinks can still contribute in the right environment.

I think these were two specific positions that Garrett was unable to really address the way he wanted to last free agency. I think there's a reasonable chance he takes another stab at it this FA (besides looking for upgrades at the obvious positions).

what about a veteran outside lb that knows the tampa 2 and can be a good help for carter and whoever the starter is at the left outside lb.

Any chance the Jags will cut Robinson loose to save some money?

I have been thinking the same thing.

Harris should be the third wide out. Rather see them bring in a fourth guy to start for miles when he goes down.

I'd love Ted Ginn Jr or Lee Evans. Neither are a threat to start or overtake Harris as the 3rd WR, but could fill in in case someone goes down. Love Ginn more so for KO responsibilities

i agree, Harris is our 3rd WR, we need a WR for depth behind Dez and Miles should one of them go down. preferably someone with some speed.

Not sure, but since he just signed the deal last year, wouldn't that be a huge cap hit? Of course, Jax needs to increase their cap figure in order to reach the new floor.

Harris should be number 2.

Are we actually talking about a 3rd WR or are we talking about a #2 and playing Miles in the slot? I would definitely differentiate between a #3 and a slot guy. I think Harris should be ahead of Otree, I'd actually like to see him cut and bring in some new blood. Ogletree is Crayton with less talent, I'd like to see him gone.

This.

If not the the 2nd WR.

I don't think it's about 1,2 or 3.

I think we have our two slot guys in Austin and Beasley, plus witten/ Hannah.

I think it's about who can play outside opposite Dez.

We need an outside wr who can get open. It would be fantastic if ends up as Harris.

Dez,Austin,Harris,Beasley and one more outside guy could be a really good group.

Especially if we could ever run the stinking football.

I actually agree with this.

I like Harris. A lot. But I dont see him being anything more than a solid contributor as a role player.

They won't save money by cutting him. They will actually be losing more money cutting him this year than keeping him.

Agree with you 100%.
Why worry about the 3wr? I am ready to roll with Harris and Beasley in that spot. We should be looking for backups to Dez and Miles.
