I think we may be judging Skip unfairly

I just watched ESBN and watched Hip Clueless argue with William A. Smith about the gints game, and from what I heard,Clueless can't be that dumb as some of his statements about the Boys and T.O. are.
I'm beginning to believe he has to be put up to his opinions by his bosses just to create controversy because NO-ONE Can Be that ignorant !!!!!!!


Then again, I could be wrong.

If you are Skip Bayless or any television "analyst", are you to be fair, honest and predictable aka BORING or controversial for the sake of increasing ratings.

Skip is no idiot. I stopped watching 1st and 10 because it's obvious he just contradicts the other guest commentator just to antagonize viewers and increase ratings. He just says the opposite of conventional wisdom to stand out. But now it's getting to the point that he is becoming obvious. For example, he criticized LeBron James immediately after Lebron carried his team to the NBA finals (this was before the Cavs played the Spurs). Lebron carried his team to the NBA finals. He was criticizing LeBron for missing free throws in regulation ignoring the several clutch shots he made in overtime to win the game. I'm not saying Lebron is perfect. He has flaws but he is one of the best players in the game and a legitimate MVP candidate which Skip couldn't acknowledge.

In the past, a lot of journalists were P.C. and didn't want to step on anyone's toes (Micky Spagnola) but now a lot of writers are not afraid of being candid. However, now it seems like you have guys like Skip Bayless who are phony and are just saying anything to stand out and be different.
