The Giants proved that they are tremondus with their pass rushing abilities. The Eagles always blitz and come from every which way and the Skins are wild cards this year. Koiser is the weak link of our line. I beileve Faneca is a guard and is the best lineman free agent in the league. I think it makes sense if you can get him to sign a 3 year deal, I know hes getting up there in age. This Superbowl still proves the game is won or lost in the line play. We have 4 soild lineman right now and Koiser would be good as the first back up. Now, this is all in assumption that we resign Flozell. You can have the best weapons in the world but fact of the matter is if they cant get down the field you cant use them. If you cant run block, like we couldnt in the second half against the Giants, you cant win big games. I think everyone forgets about him because the lineman are not the big glamour deals. The big ones are QB's RB's etc but no one can argue against the fact without your lines being good everything else falters. Opinions

We have plenty of cap room, but i look for Jerry to use it on re-signing Hamlin, and maybe even Flozell. Also, don't forget that T-New, T.O., and Marion Barber will pobably be getting new deals, so while Faneca would be great, i think a free agent guard of his caliber is out of the question. Just my opinion, though.

That would have been a great idea...............................three years ago. Faneca's play has fallen off as of late. This last year was one of his worst as a Pro. I'll pass, thanks.

Agreed. Yet another example of an idea from "Let's sign all high-priced, aging free agents Guy."

You build you team THROUGH THE DRAFT. How about we develop our own?

His play has started to decline and it's almost always a bad idea to sign FAs over the age of 30. Especially, high priced ones.

I would be more incline to look at Procotor or probably better convert James Marten to guard. He is nasty like Davis, big like Davis, and has issues in space like Davis. His run blocking skills are far more polished than his pass protecting. If he is moved to guard, his pass protecting should improve due to being confined in space at guard.

Our future could look like:

??? - Marten - Gurode - Davis - Colombo

Of course, Colombo will come due in 2009. He is about 2 1/2 years younger than Adams. Anyway you look at it, either Adams or Colombo will have to be replaced. I don't think there is any way we keep both unless some agreement that ends the salary cap by the end of next year. (doubtful)

16 million is alot to Jerry Jones. Remember in the 90's we never had much room and Jerry found a way. 16 is alot to him.

I agree there are alot of scenarios out there but I guess the most important thing is which scenario will be the right way to go.

I would probably rather spend the money on Jacob Bell of the Titans, if we sign an interior lineman.
