I thought Dallas game was nationally televised?

They are not showing these games because a certain player is from that area. If so, every other house across the nation would be seeing a different game....:)

Actually that is very much a factor in what games are shown in an area (outside of home teams)

Look at the map right now

CBS Game Bengals VS KC has a blip in mid California where its showing. That blip covers Fresno where Carson Palmer is from, Same Channel NYJ VS Tenn has a blip in south Florida which cover Corals gables and Miami home of Jonathan Vilma

Fox Games GB is showing in a blip of Mississippi which covers Favres hometown

Game 1 on Fox, The Saints game is playing in San diego area, Reggie Bush is from San Diego

At least I will get the game in HD and not have to watch it on Sunday Ticket as the Seattle station is showing it in HD. Woohoo.

Sunday can't come fast enough.

Funny though, this is a short week at word because of Labour Day but it is dragging as I can't wait for Sunday 1:15pm to get here.

Here is the problem. Just because it is called a nationally televised game, that doesn't mean everyone will get it. All that means is it will be the game you get UNLESS you get a regional game. A regional game always is the first option. If you don't get a regional game, then you get the national game.

DANGIT! I'll get the frickin' GB game.
Welcome to my hell. I live in the godforsaken state of IN and will have to watch CHI & GB. If I did not love this woman I would be back in Texas.....DALLAS TEXAS where I came from.

Just moved From Dayton, Oh. a few years ago so I can understand your frustration.

Remember......sports bars are you friend.

Luckily, I am in the part of SC that gets the Dallas game...Charleston, SC

playboidolla, IF you are sure you are not getting the game, it might be worth it to try and find a sports bar in Greenville that will have it on. I believe there is at least one sports bar in Greenville that will carry all the games.

Well...hopefully, I'll be moving to Dallas soon enough!

Well, my local channels I get with Directv say it'll be Dallas/Jax here in KC.

Gotta cough up the cash for the Sunday Ticket like the rest of us do my friend.;)

100% agreed. well worth it. I would worry week after week, trying to see if I would get My Cowboys transmitted in my area. Sumtimes i got lucky, but I dont have to worry about that anymore. great feeling.

4:15 P.M. GAME SUMMARIES:
1=Cowboys @ Jaguars - 72% — Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Pam Oliver

looking at the line-up, for the most part, it should be a nationally televised game, Joe buck may have something in his contract that 98% of the US get to look at his bald-spot :laugh2:

I used to have the ticket....never should have gotten rid of it.

I'm gonna have to get it again.

There is one factor in the line ups that is overlooked sometimes. It is not always the networks that decide these things; the local stations have some say in it too. Sometimes it comes down to the station manager being a fan of some team or player so he goes that way.

A couple of examples:

In Corpus Christi the local station would sometimes carry the Cowboys game instead of the Oilers (or Texans) when they were on the AFC network. The fans of those teams would get torqued off big time.

When Red McCombs bought the Vikings he got the local station in San Antonio to carry them. They did it as long as it did not interfere with the Cowboys.

great quote in your sig Jimz, I got one for you

"no son of a b**** ever won a war dying for his country, he won a war making the other son of a b**** die for his"-George Patton

I feel you, 2 years ago I got stuck watching a meaningless Gent/Skin game, I live in Maryland, instead of a game w/ playoff implications, pissed me the hell off

I understand the fact about the regional game and our is Carolina, What I am trying to understand is why is Greenville the only city in SC, NC thats not getting the game.......I am gettin NFL Ticket but I wont have it until monday because I had cable and I had to switch and the guy wont be here to install it until Monday so im stuck for the week! lol

Oh no!! I have to watch the 49ers/Cardinals game due to me living in the Sacramento area. I thought CBS had the double header; this really bites. Maybe my brother-in-law won't mind me coming over since he has Direct TV.

NFC @ NFC = FOX

AFC @ NFC = CBS

NFC @ AFC = FOX

AFC @ AFC = CBS

This of course only applies to non special programming games like Sunday night football and Monday night football.
