I think all of us fans were hoping this year was going to be different. I think that is why so many of us are just pissed/depressed right now.

The team is just not good enough, be it coaching or talent, it is just not good enough.

If we want to contend for a SB ever again, then we have to get good enough to play with the Indys and Vikes and Saints of the world.

Next week is going to be a good measuring stick game. Lets see how we play against the so-called best team in the league. If we get blown out, we know that we are still a long ways from contending for a Championship.

I'm passed the rage stage of yesterday's joke. Now, I'm left with the reality that this team just isn't that good. And, it's depressing. We've padded a winning record against losing teams and we crumble when we actually play a viable contender. The lone exception being the Eagles (for some reason I don't think the second meeting will even be close to the first one).

It's the same story it's been for a long time with the Cowboys. They seem to find new ways to lose every single year, and honestly, it's wearing me down. I wish I could care less. I really, really do. Something in me just won't let me pass it off as "just a game". I have no idea how to detach myself from the successes or failures if this football team. for 28 years I've tried to approach the next season as "less important" yet, I'm sucked in every single year.

I had such high hopes for this team this season. Don't get me wrong, I was cautiously optimistic, but it didn't diminish my hope. Yesterday completely destroyed my hope. It's gone. Even if this team managed to miraculously make the play-offs, it wouldn't matter. They're first round losers. Absolutely ZERO doubt about it. There are few things in my simple life that have the ability completely bum me out. The death of yet another Cowboys season is at the top of the list.
