The last 2 games convinced me that I think we can win next year once we have a Quarterback. Whether it's Dak or whoever (that isn't the last 3 QBs we used.)

I think losing Williams and Elliott makes absolutely no difference anymore. McGovern can't be worse than Williams. No idea if we can get rid of Zeke, but he's the most expendable player right now. I don't like Jaylon, but I think our thinness at LB might keep him around next year.

Either way, draft an OL in first round in case Tyron or Collins is injured, and stack the rest of the draft with the secondary and other defensive players.

We’ve been bad for so many years that after two “hard fought” losses, we believe we can win next year :lmao2:.

in all seriousness, this is a year to year league. It is entirely possible that we go from 2-14 this year to 14-2 the next. However, I wouldn’t hold that for our Cowboys as they seem to love to disappoint year after year.

I agree., but we need to draft CB, Safety, DT, and LB. We also need to find Tyrons Replacement this year or next. Our offense will be fine.
We need to see if re can retain Aldon Smith, and go all in on bolstering the defense. We get 1 more year with Smith LVE and Lee Backing up, but thats why we draft a LB early.

Oline will be fine next year. Smith williams Looney Martin Collins
McGovern Steel Biadasz Knight

Set at TE
Set At RB
Set WR

QB: Dak Lawrence or Justfields, with Gilbert as the back up Dinucci 3 ...Sign Dak and we save the 7 mil we pay Dalton. Thats why I play Dalton this year so Gilbert doesnt get too expensive.

Amazing how much better our tight end play is now that Witten’s gone. We lost our #1 tight end for the year and the backup is still WAY better than CAP EATER Witten.

Not before we find a player to blame. That's more the theme here.....every game.

Jerry Kool-aid time here in the CZ.
These losers have gone nowhere the past 4 years and will continue reaping in the big bucks while at best going 8-8 again and again!
Gut it out and don't look back!

We can. And here's how: Don't win too much this year.

We need one big nasty disruptor up front. We need Jarron Reed, DJ Reader, Cameron Hayward, Eddie Goldman. Someone of that ilk. We need someone to side Galley. This is the biggest need on this team. Why? Because we're just not going to become true contenders until we get that guy.

Maybe there are other more pressing needs, but not exactly. Because filling those other needs just won't matter until we complete the DLine up front. If Gregory keeps playing and DLaw doesn't get hurt and Galley keeps it up, it will be an absolute shame if Jerry stops there and doesn't complete the puzzle. Get a guy who can't be moved and can collapse the pocket, and we move into contention.

Thanks for the update Jerry.

You don’t even have to be that old or follow this team for very long to know how fast a good draft can turn things around.

2015: 4-12
2016: 13-3 (#1 seed)

We have [by far] the best roster in our division & we have 4 compensatory draft picks (3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th rounds). Pair that with high draft picks in each round and this team is going to be very good next year.

Even this past draft gave us some really good talent; Lamb, Diggs, Gallimore. Say whatever you want but this team drafts insanely well... there’s just no disputing that.

one can only hope, my dear Ultron. Say, since you’re an all-knowing (destructive) robot, what are the odds we go to the Super Bowl next year?

That's the spirit! "We'll get 'em next year!" is Uncle Jerry's favorite battle cry.
