I have stood behind Garrett as a coach but he lacks any fire!! After listening to another weekly press confrence. im tried of "we have to do a better job, He did a good job, Hes a good athlete, We need to try to to a better job".....BLAH.... BLAH....BLAH!!

I want to hear from Garrett: These mistakes are totally unacceptable!! WE WILL do a better job! Felix fumble is Totally UNACCEPTABLE! Bryants dropping simple passes is UNACCEPTABLE!! Bryants punt return are UNACCEPTABLE!! Romo's turnovers over the last several games are UNACCPETABLE??

Make a statement to your team. Release Felix Jones today!! Yes i know Murry is injured. That sucks. But you couldnt truct Felix with the ball after he fumbled. Not even on 2 and 1, 3 and 1, forth and 1. So why keep him on the team? You go with Tanner or Dunbar and set the example!!

And if Jerry wont let you cut Jones then you need to step down cuz you have no control as a head coach!

Grow some balls Garrett!!

I'm still not off the Garrett bandwagon as of yet. But there is nothing you said I disagree with.

I'm sick of hearing how he likes the way the team battled. Who cares if they battle back? If they don't finish the deal it does not matter.

And i don't know how he has not benched felix yet. The guy is absolutely terrible. Should have been cut when he showed up out of shape.

I don't know what his deal is with not giving backups opportunities. It seems no matter how bad starters and role players play, he will not bench them.

That is the one thing i love about ryan. He will use you if you can help the team.

Garret refuses to give guys chances. How long did it take miles to get a chance? He would still be riding the bench if it weren't for injuries at that position.

And how about murray? THe only reason he got a shot was because felix got hurt.

And as far as ogletree, garret, you are a complete moron. Put somebody else in there that you can count on. Ogletree SUCKS. Give beasley a shot or at least d. harris. He played pretty well in preseason. Give these guys a shot or don't dress them.

Releasing Felix is a move I would highly respect. No one wants him and he will be jettisoned at the end of the season anyway. The chances of him helping us from here on out are slim to none. Cut your losses. Make a statement. Earn some respect as a coach.

Certainly can't disagree with this at all.

I thought JG was the right guy, but I'm starting to question that somewhat now. But not saying replace him either. But getting tired of this too.

There are several things, we do not have the talented players as we been told, or we don't have good coaching as we are told. Or most likely a combination of both. The players do not play smart...or they are not coached to play very smart.

I'm still not sold on Ryan either. Either get new coaches or get new players....right now this combination is not working, nor has it for years.

I'm proud of the way they fought back, but should they have been in that position as well. Then when they got the lead, they reverted back to the turnovers and lost.

I usually try to remain positive, but it's going to be another one of these frustrating years.

Garrett is Switzer with an Ivy League degree. He is not the disciplinarian nor the one who demands excellence like he claimed he would be. If he were running a McDonald's, he would've been fired by now for poor performance and faking a resume. We are once again wasting the talent we do have with Jerry at the helm.

I don't think anyone on the team respects him, so he can't really say that and be effective.

Wonder how Garrett would do as a game analyst or in the studio :laugh2:

Hire him ESPN!

Sorry...i forgot about Ogletree. Cut his *** too! Garrett is riding a fine line of losing respect of his players and losing his job. If he doesnt have the balls then hand over disciplanary issues to Ryan.

P.S. Garrett your sounding like a complete idiot in your press confrences. Grow some balls and tell it like it is. The fan nor the media are stupid.

The one thing I always liked about Wade, and I think JG is half trying to do, is that he NEVER placed the blame on the players. Although it was wheezy and confusing sounded, Wade's statements were always to the effect of "It's on me. I have to do better." While he took too much of the blame and let guys off the hook in a way, at least he had a sense that someone, somewhere was screwing up.

I like that JG doesn't call out guys publicly, but then nobody gets blamed. Not him. Not the guys who screw up. There seems to be absolutely 0 accountability on this team, and that starts with the head coach.

There is not only zero need to publicly criticize the players there is a good reason he doesn't do it. We, this team, I are all ok but pointing fingers is unacceptable. Throwing players under the bus falls under the same category.

What makes people think Jason doesn't point out mistakes to the team and individual players? Does anyone here actually know what he says behind closed doors? Garrett benched Dez on PRs which I'm sure sent the appropriate message to him and all.

Best to address the problems that are correctable and identify the ones that aren't so that can be addressed in the off season.

Nobody has any idea how he comports himself in the locker room, but
you have to believe that he has lost a lot of respect among the players and coaches though his sideline ineptitude and indecisiveness.

How are you so sure that what Garrett says publicly about the team is the same thing he says privately to them?

The media in Dallas are like a bunch of stupid sharks looking for blood. All Garrett is doing is putting a plug on the wounds as to not feed their idiocy.

That's a good thing. I think privately he talks a different talk.

Now you want him to cut players - a RB (Felix Jones) specifically. Umm, you know Barber was shown the door for his lack of discipline don't you? Yeah, that really impacted the team in a positive way.

Look I don't disagree about letting some heads roll, but that in and of itself won't nearly solve the larger problem.

The only part of your post I agree with is what you said about Jerry Jones not letting Garrett make the real tough moves. This is the root of this problem.

Garrett has a lot of leeway by Jones to make decisions, but leeway and Power are 2 different things. when Jones publically states over and over that he makes all final decisions, it's clear Garrett has no Power.

And the problem with that is this - Jerry Jones has always had a need to be chummy with the players. He gives them long leash to do as they please. He coddles them over their potential so much so that he goes out of his way to excuse their lack of production.

Simply put, Jerry Jones greatly overemphasizes what might become over what is becoming. That may be good for marketing and branding, but it's not for GM-ing, except Jerry Jones unfortunatley cannot distingusih between the two.

This has been happening for years. It's why Parcells quit on Jones. It's why Phillips and coaches before him failed, and why Garrett is failing now - no matter what he says publically or privtely.

Barber? Can you tell me where he playing now? Thats right no where. Same place Felix Jones would be if we cut him loose. Felix has lost the coaches and team confidence.

Is it ever acceptable for a player to fumble? Was it acceptable when Emmitt fumbled? He did fumble from time to time, right?

Really? That surprises me. I understand fans being unhappy with him--even if their reasoning is somewhat poorly-justified--but I've never heard anything but the highest compliments towards Garrett coming from any player. And that as recently as Witten's glowing comments just last week.

I don't think Tony likes him. And I think a lot of players take Tony's lead in that regard.

It's not that hard to come to the conclusion that he's done nothing to deserve what he's been given. And certainly he's done nothing to earn anyone's respect.
