for Witten. IMO, he should be averaging at least 10 a season. For such a great player, he hardly sniffs the end zone. Garrett needs to find ways to get him the ball when it matters. IMO, Witten should be the #1 receiving threat inside the red zone.

Also, against GB....I would like to see Witten have at least 10 receptions. The middle of that GB secondary is soft. They have quality DBs, but they are definitely lacking in the middle of the coverage. Witten should be able to exploit that all game.

Yeah I felt like we should have put up 14 more points in philly but it's just nit picking at this point, a win is still a win...

Not to sound like a jerk, but who's TD's is he supposed to take away from. Barber gets goal line touches, everyone wants Bennett and Williams to get involved in the redzone because of their size advantage ...

I agree Witten should be looked at in the endzone more, but at the expense of who? He's my favorite player so I'd like to see him score more, but realistically it will be difficult with so many other weapons.

I would love to see more receptions for him and I really hope he gets at least one TD reception this week. I just think he's one of the best we've ever had. I guess it's kinda nice we have more then one good receiver, but I do hope he gets more.

I dont care who or how many times someone gets the ball past the goal line.

Just keep doing what we're doing on Offense.

If I had anything to complain about its that we need to sprinkle Tashard in more.

I think the flow of the offense has been good. The Romo friendely offense has been doing just as i predicted POST TO. They're spreading the ball around not forcing to any particular player. Perhaps teams started focusing more on Witten in the redzone, which opens it up for others. Witten role is now closer to Novechek's role in that he's getting the critcal catches for first downs. In addtion to his awesome blocking. Witten the best TE in football regardless how many TD's he's getting or not.

it is difficult for Witten to get more TDs when he is hardly targeted in the endzone, even when is open.

I don't really care who scores TDs as long as we're scoring lots of them.

Ditto and check this stat out, from another post, i kind of rest my case. I think from the TE thats more important:

Tony Romo has targeted Jason Witten 13 times on third down, and 13 times the Cowboys have come up with a first down

Thats my point, no one player should ne targeted. Thats what has gotten us in trouble in the past. Has Romo missed Witten a couple of times, yes, as he has others. His job is to take what the defense gives him. Witten has hurt my fanatasy team, but it's only fanatasy.

Witten is not getting TD catches because Miles Austin and Tony Romo are meeting in secret to design plays that intentionally leave Witten out.

I don't care how many TDs we have or by who, as long as we have another big W for the team come Monday morning.

Where do people get these ideas? This is Witten's 7th season and he's never even sniffed 10 TDs - 7 is his high. The idea that he should average 10+ a season is, frankly, ridiculous.

Tony Gonzalez is the greatest receiving TE in history. He's 19th on the all-time receiving TD list. He's averaged a bit over 6 TDs per season.

Correct.

10 TD's a season for a TE?

That's a goofy expectation.

Guess you havent noticed, not forcing the ball to anyone in particular is working. I am sure if you ask JW all he wants is to win, not pad his stats.
