After last week with the job Merriman did I kinda ripped him for being soft. I was wrong. His performance today was equal to Merriman's last week, and to go one step further I think that inspired him. The bottom line is Ware and "Mr. Lights out" are two excellent players. You couldn't go wrong with either. I just want to see Ware develpoe a move where he goes outside for three steps fast and then shoot back into the inside. Nice game today DWare.

I agree he needs to develope some more moves, but I still believe that he will, he still has some learning to do, but I believe that he has shown he is definately up to the task. As for Merriman, I agree he is a stud, but if for no other reason I am glad we got who we did because of Merriman's agents.

One thing Ware has that Merriman doesn't is the ability to turn the corner.

You can't teach that.

Don't you mean Ware had a better game , Ware did also have 3 sacks , same as Merriman ,but did Merriman cause 3 fumbles....

I agree with that....
I like Merriman as a player , but I do think in the long run we got the better all around player in Ware....

One thing to remember is that Ware is in a first year defensive scheme. The whole unit is learning a new scheme along with the D. Coordinator. Imagine how good he will be with more seasoning and also the whole group knowing what to do. With that kind of support, I think he will have a better pro career than Merriman.

I'm sorry too, I didn't say Ware stunk, I just said that Merriman was better, and now I can't say that.

I will defenitely have to see 1 or 2 offseason programs with Ware. Ware did that today only being 253 pounds while Merriman is around 275. Imagine Ware at maybe 265 with even more strength and experience, wow!

I kept telling everyone that these Ware/Merriman threads needed to die down.

You cannot tell who wins these type of drafting matchups until maybe 2-3 years and maybe longer.

I have no idea why people were discussing Ware all this week because there are probably 5-10 guys that should have been discussed before him with regards on who to blame.

It would be nice to find out when was the last time a Cowboy had a 3 Sack game and this player was.

I'll even go out on a limb and say Ware is better in coverage.

I would also just like to know who the last guy was that caused 3 fumbles in a single game as well.

That was amazing. He will never do that again.

Watching Ware today, I saw Charles Haley, Jr....

Seriously... it wasn't just the sacks, it was the 9 tackles, the 3 fumbles forced... the guy just seemed to be everywhere, and even when he didn't actually make the play, he was THIS close to making it...

That's definitely our defensive MVP for this game... the offensive MVP is equally obvious, of course-- Julius Jones... sure wish he could have gotten a shot to get to 200...

This is his 15th game! He'll have plenty of performances to remember. Were you saying the same thing after the Seattle game? Cuz guess what? He just did it again.

I'm not saying he won't have great games, but to cause three fumbles is insane.

I don't think he will ever duplicate that.

We'll see. The kid has a knack for that chop move. He's shown a propensity for knowing just when to bring his big paw down. I think there's a bunch of games like this in his future. Maybe not 3 fumbles, but he'll have similar days.

I wonder how many more votes Ware would have gotten if the final talley for the Pro Bowl was say...next week.

He isnt a Pro Bowler by any stretch of the imagination, but it would be interesting to see the voting spike. His performance was just flat out amazing.

I am still stupified....electrified....errr...where's Jesse Jackson when you need a good ryhmning phrase :p: .

This forum should be called knee-jerk central. God forbid the guy not get three sacks next week. Some of you guys will label him the next Tony Mandrich.
