I Want To Believe In Dak

No matter what is discussed, your source in non-stop insult. You ever offer constructive support? Of team, goals, or demonstrated progresses. You say no, that is lack of ethics or truthfulness when realistic comparisons are presented. By the way, how many fights do you get into while in attendance at AT&T Stadium? I never have been insulted or intimidated while there.
Does Jerry thank you personally for contributing to his cause?

When the 2025 season kicks off in September, Dak Prescott will be chasing three Dallas Cowboys’ franchise regular-season passing records.

Assuming no injuries, he should easily surpass all three marks and fairly early in the campaign at that. Especially now that he has a legitimate WR2 in George Pickens to throw to.

If he starts the full year, he’ll draw considerably closer to two other categories as well.

To get one of the two, he’ll merely need to start at quarterback.

This comment and others to follow; make me question if people really still believe? Just fyi, no one in DFW actually believes Dak is a good QB, go ask in the community. You will hear: he’s a great guy, not QB, he’s doesn’t have the nerves to win, not smart enough, etc. I have heard this on 105.3 and just bc they say it, doesn’t make it true. Dak has sucked the life out of most of the fanbase. Jerry sucks as well, but as incompetent as he’s become, his worst decision is keep deer in the headlights.
What voting record do you reference?

But I just can't. Dak has obviously flashed some top shelf ability at times in his career but going on 9 years in the league all he really has accomplished are some humiliating bad performances in the few playoff appearances he's made. I won't get into the horrible contract extension he received here.

The worst part is he's been injury prone and obviously regressing from an ability standpoint. In his last 8 games he's 3-5 with a 45 QBR. My point is he was never enough and he's not getting better. So is Pickens better than Cooks, yea of course he is but is he that much better that he makes that kind of difference in Dak's play? Is Tyler Booker better than Zach Martin? The point I'm making is that I don't think you can make enough good moves on the offensive side that drastically changes the one thing that ultimately determines the outcome of games and that's Dak himself. I obviously hope I am wrong but I don't think I am.

As a Tennessee fan Milton ain't it either, more upside than Rush yes but he's a Temu Dak.
I want to believe there is a:
Santa Claus
Tooth Fairy
Easter Bunny
and a reliable NFL QB in Prescott
Unfortunately, none of the above exist!!!!!!!!!!! If I had to choose which 3 are the most to be true, Prescott wouldn't make that list!

I’m glad you said that because I live a couple states over and I’ve always wanted to know what the vibe was around town. Interesting.

Why no one wants to talks about Jerry sabotaging 2024 season. Now many are using 2024 stats as the standard of going forward. 2024 season fail before it even started. What's interesting is we have tons of archived threads proving its exactly what fans expected but now we think/thought all the same defensive/offensive stats from 2024 should have been more competitive. My question is how or with what talent or decent coaching staff.

This is why IMO we should not put much weight into any stats from last years. Jerry trashed the season before ever started.

**** sit out free agency......forcing several backup players into starting roles
****forced MM to coach his final season
****refused to fire MM, KNOWING he would unlikely bring him back
****refused to sign players for his lame-duck defensive coordinator
***Sign Dak to the largest conract in the league a couple of month before the season started but refused to provide any support.
It's a solid point and I don't disagree, we did nothing last year and got way worse so you can't judge Dak on that alone but he had a solid team heading into the playoff game against Green Bay and laid an egg, same int eh playoff game with the 49ers. 2024 aside, I do believe my eyes when I see he's regressing not getting better.

Some people seem to love these threads and some people don't (although they are always participating,,, go figure).

In all seriousness, what does admin think about this type of activity? Given it is post draft and pre everything else is the dysfunctional bickering welcome for the "activity", or is a less active, more peaceful vibe preferred?
Who cares what the admin thinks. It's a discussion board. It violates no policy.

You'll get no response from "admin" lol

Why would you not get into the extension? It's more damaging to the Cowboys than the playoff loses. It's what allows Dak to continue cursing this team with performance that kill our SB dreams.
You aren't wrong but I was just basing my observation on play alone not the financials. If you believe Dak can win it all the money is irrelevant, if you don't it's absolutely crushing to the team.

Agreed. This feels like we are always trapped in a position where the best we could achieve any given season is 1 playoff win. I’d rather have an owner that hard commits to 2 horrible years and sell of players for picks and reemerge with crazy talent, or at minimum let’s spend a pick on a QB in the first 3 rounds of the draft at some point
Besides Quincy Carter who was a disaster, we haven't invested a draft pick on a top shelf QB prospect since Aikman. It's mind blowing to think about and as prolific as Romo was, he didn't have that playoff caliber gene either.

You wasting your time man! 30 years of failing has turned our fanbase into the angriest and dumbest fanbase. (not all but some) and this place is littered with slow fans. they just want a change at QB to give them something else to complain about. Some of them understand that a QB need pieces and just troll. Others just lack football acumen.

if I were Jerry I wouldn't have paid Dak but as a frequent attendee of this board I love that he did. I get log on and see the those fans that have been spewing gibberish for multiple season stay mad. those folks that have made this board a negative experience for the last several years I salute our QB!!!! Hes here now next chance to bail is probably 27 or 28.

This has been a darn good offseason especially in comparison to the little skelator did last year and Im encouraged
Who's dumb the one's that after 30 years continue to cheer on the status quo failures or the one's that call them out?

36 years since we've spent a number 1 on the most important position on the team and 36 years of failing.

are we officially ruling out Santa???? I love that dude.

At this point in time, I suspect Dak really needs to believe in himself. He's been injured with several problems to his ankles, had his hamstring separated from its leg bone and generally needs to make a meaningful return to his position. Wishy-washy fans tend to find fault with him, much to his dismay.

Whether he succeeds or not is actually a testy situation. He has a contract that other QBs can only wish that they had. As the starter, he'll surely be counted upon to perform at his best in 2025.

His return to action is destined to be followed closely. The success of the Cowboys in 2025 will rest greatly upon his performance. True blue fans should wish him well if they really care about their team and its standing in 2025. Game one is to be played vs. the Eagles, a tough task for any QB.
