A whole lot of Felix Jones when he is back healthy. His carries need to be close to 8-10/game. Give Barber 18-22 as well.

The offense needs an identity badly. I would love it to be similar to what Tennesse does on offense. A tough running game with two backs with separate skill sets. A team that front 7's do NOT want to play. Right now our identity is a team that is capable of big plays, but if you shut that down they will fold. We simply can't run plays that generate 4-7 yards.

I want old school smash mouth. Run, run and then run some more. Then use TO/ROY11 over the top when they are dragging their tongues.

It will never happen, but I can dream.

Our defense is not good enough to win that kind of game.

I think the playoff game last year was a prime example of that. We controlled the line of scrimmage the whole first half and then give up a TD in 48 seconds.

We need to be able to grind you down and make the big plays with the current defense!

I don't know, I guess that is how you are supposed to do it. But last year, we won games by throwing the ball all over the place and scoring a ton of points. When we tried smash mouth against the Giants in the playoffs, it worked offensively speaking, but our defense just wasn't good enough to keep the other team from scoring points. The score stayed close and in the end our sloppiness cost us the game. This team was built to throw the ball and take a big lead, then smash you with Marion Barber. Part of the problem this year, is that Garrett doesn't quite know what to do. He seems to want to run to set-up the pass, but because the o-line can't run block, we are facing too many 2nd and 10s, 2nd and 8s and too may three and outs. The offense doesn't have an identity yet......

I think this line really misses Kosier. Just look at the Green Bay game. That is the Dallas team I want to see. I loved that game.

I think this team's offensive idenity coincides with Jason Garrett's "multiple personality" play calling. Just look what Garrett did in the Washington game and contrast how he called the Philadelphia game. He was determined to run Marion Barber and keep the Eagles off Romo in that game. He didn't give up on it,and Garrett had Barber going in the second half. That was huge, and it was the difference. They ran Barber, and he made a big play on a pass. When Washington came to Dallas, the Cowboys gave up on the run and took the L. 8 carries for Barber and zero for Felix Jones.

The only thing I can think of is this.

Dallas didn't respect the Commanders, and they were too hard headed to make an adjustment and keep running the ball. The Commanders never had to worry about defending Felix Jones on the edges.
