Ok..
So we all know what we are up against with this year..
No personal contact with draftees.
No touching, measuring, sprints or pushups.
So it's all reduced to video tape, scouting reports and interpretation from long distance
We have gotten peaks at the video interviews but that is secret information closely held by the team.
One can assume the hackers are drinking tons of coffee by now trying to eavesdrop on it.
So knowing we all hate this process and we are watching from over 6 feet from our computers and phones..
I want you guys to pretend you are running these video sessions.
What do you say to the player?
What information do you need to find out if this player is a fit?
I am really interested how you might handle it.?
Do you ask them personal questiions?
Do you ask them scenario questions and hypothetical questions?
Do ask psych questions? Like what's your fav TV show?
Let me start this out..
I would ask them..
"Why do you want to be a Dallas Cowboy if we select you?"
Hmmm..
Ok..you the Director of Player Personel. Your job should you take it, is to draft the BPA in 7 Rds of selection.
I do not need player analysis here..
I need football executive analysis.
Ok..draft is 2 days away.
You are on..
