. . . and I honestly had my doubts that the Cowboys could beat the Giants tonite. I am happy to admit I was wrong and I hope the 'Boys can keep it up for the rest of the season. What a great start to what could be a great season.

At least you can admit when you're wrong and be happy about a great win. Sometimes I wonder about certain posters on here.

I was a negative Nellie through much of the offseason but became more optimistic after seeing some of the pieces come together in the preseason. I went from thinking we were an 8-8 team to thinking we could be that team that sneaks up this year and surprises. Witnessing the improved defensive play, particularly at the corners, and the fact that we had a bevy of guys to replace Robinson were largely what got me excited. Tonight certainly keeps it going for me! :)

A lot of Cowboy fans had the same doubts. I sure did.

It's only logical to have some doubts heading in. We haven't exactly had much success against them over the last few meetings.

A very good win tonight and hopefully a sign of the type of season we're going to have.

Was, and still am, cautiously optimistic about our chances this season. If i'd had to put money on the game i'd have backed the giants as i thought it would be close but being in new york and their first game as camps would swing it in their favour. Great win which i thoroughly enjoyed despite sleeping through my alarm and missing the first half. Damn 1:30am kick off

Same here, being cautiously optimistic. Great win and loved the fact my bro. a Giants fan at the game. booo yea! :starspin

Yeah this is the official eat crow thread but I am still cautiously optomistic. I saw some things we need to work on but a also saw some really good things ... We just need to keep up with the process. :)

Now jump off a bridge.. With your half empty mentality.

When I read the title to this thread I thought of the opening lyrics to I will survive.

At first I was afraid
I was petrified

Keep singing it BP!

Actually, don't. I'm kinda afraid to where this board would be headed to.

Next thing you know we would all be more in touch with our feminine side? :p:

I thought we could win, but the giants are awefully good up front and our oline was basically brand new position wise. The oline struggled bigtime at first but settled down and did a good job vs a great front 7. Props to cook, 6 days and he played well. Livings is a hoss and it looks like we are getting a strong side again. When you think about in our first 8 games we have 6 road games this win was HUGE!

That's why WG is here..duh, if not, it would just be a big 'ol hot dog cart in here. :)

Sure felt good at the bar after the 1st and 30 TD to Miles. I admit to worrying until we went up 14-3. But Murray is the best weapon we have. And I was happy to see the ball in his hands controlling the game. If we have him in December we win at least 2 more games last year.

Romo was houdini again and Murray was a beast.

Actually the guy that is worrying me now is Free

Though Bernie did not exactly give me warm fuzzies

It is good to see some folks happy. I never doubted we would win. In my primer for the game I guaranteed we were going to win this game. I will point blank say it again, we are better than they are.

With ya hostile! I knew we would be improved with all the good offseason additions but i wasnt sure how fast all the pieces would come togeather. In the two losses to them last year , they were a few plays better, throw in the fact that our dbs were aweful, and our linebacker core ( minus Lee) werent any better. No easy runs and no easy passes for the gmen this year. TBH had we not had the massive penalites we would have rolled them.

Its nice to see the homers look good for once. I for one am very happy they did. Oline was pretty pathetic as predicted, but Romo did his magic. I think the best thing that happened all night was costa going down. If he stays on the bench we may have a chance for this line to pull together and at least make things interesting.

Kudos to Garrett for not abandoning the run like he always does. He stuck with it and it was the difference in the 2nd half. In my opinion, romo was brilliant, but he typically is. The Defense was the difference in this game. Specifically the secondary coverage. This defense is going to help us win alot game this year if they can keep this up. And to think we get Ratliff and Jenkins back soon.

Maybe the worm has turned for the Cowboys. It actually looked very much like the same old Garrett with that 4th and 1 call giving it to the fullback instead our stud Murray. Lets hope its not another year of blundering play calling like last year.

The entire line should be worrying you right now. The guy that clearly had the worst night was our vaunted Smith at LT. He got his *** handed to him tonight and his penatlies were bad. I actually very much liked the way that the new center played. Lets just hope that costa remains sidelined for the entire season.
