I lucked into a ticket when my co-worker's friend was too sick to go to the game. Since it was free, and a $250 club box ticket at that, I put on my Cowboy hat and wore the star to the game.

Other than a bit of verbal harassment walking through the parking lot, no one bothered me. once in the club boxes no one bothered me, and I had a few good conversations with Eagle fans (this would not have happened outside in the upper deck, believe me).

BTW, cheesesteaks with real cheese (not the cheese whiz crap), onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato....yummy! Cheesesteaks are the main reason Philly is considered an overweight city. Anyway...

1. Peters, Mathis, and Kelce are the best pass blocking left side in the NFL. Herremans (RG) is out for the year, and the guy replacing him looked physically strong but rusty. Panthers run D attacked him and it showed. Eagles haven't had their o-line intact all year long. They are still one of the best units in the NFL.

2. Other than the Panthers run D, the rest of the team stayed home. Hard to believe they still have a chance to win the NFC South, lol.

3. Eagle fans know we have the far superior QB in Romo. Romo scares people.

4. Do not downplay Eagle special teams. Wow, do they attack. Both teams have kickers that can hit FG's beyond 50 yards. They have a better return game.

5. Sanchez and their rookie WR, Jordan Matthews, have been playing together taking second team snaps all year. They work very well together.

6. Chip Kelly at least tries to stay with the run, unlike Reid from years past. Kelly is not afraid to take chances.

7. Eagles miss DeMeco Ryans. That is a huge loss for them. We will exploit Casey Matthews vs. the tight end all day long. If Witten is on your fantasy team, play him against the Eagles. I know I will.

8. Bill Davis has taken a collection of okay defensive talent (with a few really good players mixed in) and quietly turned it into a decent unit.

9. Dez should have a field day against their CB's.

10. Sanchez can move in the pocket, unlike cement-feet Foles. Foles throws a better deep ball though, probably the only thing he does well.

11. Romo must stay healthy!! I don't know if we can beat them with Weeden...hell, we won't beat them with Weeden.

I think we will split with them (11 point win at home, 3 point loss on the road). The division will probably come down to best division record. I think the Cowboys will be kicking their arse over the loss to the Skins. I think the Eagles and Cowboys will end up tied, but they will go 5-1 in the division and we will go 4-2. I can't forget that the Eagles were one play away in each of their losses from winning both games (Cards, SF).

It will be an exciting race to the finish boys!

I would never start a topic with you lucked into a ticket to a Philly game.

There is nothing lucky about that.

BTW...good post otherwise. :)

The eagles defense does not have a lot of big talent names and the loss of Ryans at MLB hurts, but they bring it every play and they play fast and hit hard.

Every week it seems like the team playing for them is suprised by this on the first couple of plays.

Their defense is getting a lot of turnovers too.

But i dont think that their coverage unit is that good per se, I just think they play at a speed that suprises the other team and they all get after you.

Any team not taking that defense seriously gets a quick wake up call. They jumped all over the giants and panthers to get out to a quick lead early and both teams just looked stunned.

Great read. Thanks.

They fear Romo.... And Romo should fear them. They will be out to inject the hurt!

Take it easy on #9 please.
