after rightfully being highly critical of the whole organization during and after the Bears game

Troy couldn't help but ease off some - I respect the way he handled it

paraphrasing

"when the run is hitting, they are as good as any offense in the NFL"

"this a running team first and foremost"
not that I agree - IMO, this a big play O with a season target of about 30 rushing attempts per game and about 35 pass attempts - balanced

"as a rookie OC Kellen has produced the NFL #1 O"
that is impressive under any circumstance

"Jason Garrett is one of the most positive people I've ever met"
I've seen every snap of every JG era game more than once
only twice can I call him for losing his demeanor
his constant mantra of keep getting better is hard to argue against

"I doubt any player wants him gone"

BTW, it's very it'll be hard for JJ to fire a HC, if the players want him to stay
this ain't a Switzer / Gailey / Campo / Phillips situation

I have to agree that Kris did a great job calling the defense. We did not look predictable. Offensively Kellen did a great job as well. We looked like an NFL team for the entire game for the first time this season. Kudos to JG as the leader.....can he keep them focused enough for this game with a playoff birth is the question. We have history when JG has not been able to do it as a younger coach.....we will see.

I agree and the fact that Troy see's what this team is capable of gives me hope. The fact that many people who post here can't see that gives me even greater hope.

I am also gonna agree with you, Troy dialed it down a notch or two. He's a decent analyst...he knows football...decent orator. But....he can trip over himself trying to avoid criticism of his Cowboys ties. He's not gonna please EVERYONE. Cowboys haters will accuse him for being too subjective, Cowboys fans will accuse him of being too objective, to the point of being silly and stumbling.

Just call the game, and don;t worry if you let a positive fan boy comment slip out.

Troy is the best and why he’s so respected around the league despite being a hated Cowboy by opposing fans because he’s brutally honest. Not all Cowboy fans can handle it.

You can CLAIM he's "brutally honest"...that is a total opinion. You do no know him as human being and his "honesty". But in other people's opinion..he tries TOO hard to be objective and..."totally honest"...which makes him NOT totally honest.

Some Cowboys fans LOVE him being over critical and call it "honest".

For your comparison. I think Romo is more "honest"....for calling the game and not really afraid to show some HONEST Cowboy affiliation. I think it's a smidgen but I am sure.."other people" ahem....call it fan boi.

I’m glad the players don’t get to pick the coach. Baker Mayfield wanted Freddie Kitchens and look at how that turned out.

So now people like Troy because he's saying things they agree with? I thought people disliked him because they say he was trying to be objective to the point of being biased against the Cowboys. I guess once you criticize Jerry that's enough for most of the fanbase to get behind, lol.

Troy is just honest. Last couple of weeks he was saying the same stuff we as fans saw.

This has always been completely clear. Players like the guy - people are going to say that is because he is soft but we've seen many reports that he hold players accountable - he doesn't scream about it publicly.
Players didnt want Wafe gone either who cares. Base it off what you see not what they say. Do you see players playing hard for the coach? Ok then

Troy tells it like it is, whether calling games or use to giving the business to his OL, if they were not performing not to the coaches like but his. LOL

People hate to hear it, but what fans think of Garrett and what other coaches and players think of him are very different things.
