Interesting name still out there. Had a big sack year last year. He also had a double digit sack year a few years ago. In 2018, he struggled a bit.

But then I noticed he played OLB in his two big sack years and had his hand in the ground when he struggled in 2018.

It would be interesting to see/know how Nolan plans to build his defense. Would a guy like Golden fit?

Golden was coming off of an ACL tear in 2018. You can find a place for a pass rusher in a defense.

Nope.

A 4-3 base will be mostly used. No need to look at a prospect who only thrives as a standing up edge 3-4 rusher.

I’d be interested to see if Nolan goes with a multiple front look. Personally I don’t think you can have enough good rushers! I think they’ll stay with the 43 look but even then, I don’t think they necessarily have to have their hand on the ground

Golden was the only EDGE guy I thought there was ever a chance of signing due to his relatively low contract demands.

Good stuff.

I am just perplexed as to what they are doing at DE. Jerry has preached in the past at being able to get to the QB but he can't possibly believe what they have at DE is even adequate............ and you can't assume your answer comes from the draft.

And don't get me started on the idea that Gregory will just dominate. Golden would be great insurance.

"Just imagine Jeff Heath lining up here.............."

Thankfully I no longer have to imagine that.

I agree, we need to figure out who’s playing opposite of DLaw, Randy possibly coming back is great but we don’t even know if that’s for sure, and his level of play might not be where it was in 2018. I think we can help our End by getting better at DT, the McCoy signing was good, but I’d feel a little better with another talented guy there

They have half a good starting DL. Add another end in free agency that can play and you at least are on decent footing.

I agree, I’d take all the DLine help that we could take lol.The position coach change might be a big help too. Who knows, Tomsula might get more outta Hill than Marinelli did.

If he were cheap I would still take him as a situational pass rusher, but I don't imagine he could be had cheap.

He’s really stupid though.

Golden looked good in ARI. He would be a good pick up. I like that he's not soft, I would like DAL to have a tough group.
