I was so wrong about Romo. Never even gave him more than a second thought. I was never in Bledsoe's corner and wanted Romo to start but not because I thought Romo was the answer but I knew Bledsoe was not the answer.

The Henson and Romo battles, I fell in love with the "measurables" of Henson. I admit it I was wrong. Never did dislike Romo as many Romo supporters tried to allege. Again, I was just wrong. Flat out could not be more wrong.

The one thing I will always believe and Romo is proving right now is that it is all about the QB. I have said all along that when Dallas finds their next great QB that is when Dallas will be a contender again.

It finally looks like Dallas found their next great QB and interestingly enough Dallas looks like a contender again for the first time since Aikman was a young man.

Can we please retire the term "Bus Driver" forever. Man it feels good to see what a good team really looks like again. Here is to eight more games this year. :star:

Amen.

Henson always sucked, picking Romo over him wasnt anything that required thought.

couldn't agree more...i've seen other teams have the same luck and fortune and always think why can't Dallas get this...Now that it seems like it is happening it's kind of unreal...or maybe special...

I know we got a long ways to go but it's been awhile since we've had this kind of a chance to what Bill would call it "something special".

We do have a long way to go still, but now it looks like it is possible. Before Romo Dallas looked like a team headed nowhere real fast.

not to nit-pick, but you were also wrong saying that the 1st round was the only way to go to get a franchise signal-caller :)

Not to nit-pick as well:) , but I never said the only way to go was a first rounder. I said your chances are much better in the first round. I still stand by that.

I mean it is borderline comical that it is even a debate in a sense. If I said you have to find a new star CB, WR, RB, or etc and you can have either a first round pick to find said player or you can have a seventh round draft pick...which would you choose?

You know the beauty of it is, it looks like there will be no need to have those kind of conversations again for a very long time.

All Romo has to do is keep it up. I do not mean a 100+ rating that is unreal and much more unreal to expect him to maintain that.

However, if he keeps playing at a high level Dallas will be a contender for a very long time.:star:

I was always against bringing in veteran QBs to start here because the QB is my favorite position and I like to see young guys play it, to watch them grow as players. Whether it turns out good or bad, it's fun for me. I'll flip around Sunday Ticket to watch the young guns; guys like Palmer last year and now, Rivers, Alex Smith, etc.

So I was always for playing Henson, Romo or bringing in someone else who's young to start. I thought Henson would be the guy here who would develop into our QB here. I was wrong there. But I am ESTATIC that Romo is playing lights out and we have a young QB now!

Henry got away with one (the sure TD to Galloway), but no big deal.

I think that it's time that all fans put this nonsensical debate of who was right or wrong to rest.

To those who were right - big deal.

To those who were wrong - big deal.

The bigger picture is how the team is playing at the moment. And for that, we should all be pleased.

I resemble those remarks. Each and everyone of them. EXCEPT....I was a huge Bledsoe supporter to boot. I should flog myself, publicly.

As it is now I'm going to need to attend some form of group therapy.

Hello, my name is LeAndro.
I'm a Romoholic.
My last drink of Romohol was today, after dinner.
I binged on Romohol for 3 1/2 hours.
I can't help myself. On Sundays, I just NEED Romohol.
I can't stop.

I was also wrong. As wrong as wrong can be because I never thought a guy with Romo's measureables could be this good.

The funny thing is I watch Romo now and finally realize why Henson always looked so sad and unsure of himself. If I had to watch this kid in practice everyday, with his lightning-quick mind and release and his smiling, care-free, cock-of-the-walk attitude, I wouldn't have had any confidence either. :)

It's amazing that a guy I thought 4 months ago was nothing more than a career clipboard holder is now my favorite Cowboy.

Man there's plenty of examples of guys like Romo in the NFL, NBA and MLB etc.... There's one thing I've learned in life, it's what's inside you that will take you far, do you have the will to succeed and the confidence in your abilities to make it happen. Romo's blessing was when he had to learn under Testeverde because that taught him how to be a professional NFL QB.

Go Boys'!! :star:

Props to you and your post. Nice to see someone actually come on here and admit they were wrong about something.

I'll admit one myself that I was so convinced of. That Parcells was finished. I honestly believed the game had passed him by. It seems the QB change has given him new life or maybe he had it all along and just couldn't pull the trigger on Bledsoe earlier on. I'll gladly admit I think I may have been wrong about that. Either way this team looks completely different w/Romo at the helm. Sadly I tend to be a glass is half empty guy when it comes to Romo. I keep waiting for him to have the let down game all QBs have, but I'm not sure if he's got it in him to have one of those. I've not been this excited about our team or our QB situation since Aikman. Man this feels good.
