I gotta say I was wanting his bags packed before Wade's. You mentioned in a post that just because we were questioning him as an OC, he was still working with Wade's team and Wade's philosophy, and that he might excel at the HC position. Not verbatim, but that's what I got out of it a few weeks back.
Made me think.
I had a calculus instructor who graduated from Princeton that was an utter moron. She couldn't get her algebra correct, and we got tired of correcting her mistakes. She was bound to her own inadequacies, with no one else to save her from herself. Hence, with a master's, she was teaching in a community college.
I gave your thoughts a considerable amount of deliberation. I figured if Garrett's a HC in the making, he'll come from the Jimmy Johnson school. Let's wait and see if there are signs.
First practice, he has the team run out to the field. No more walking. Dress codes, fines. The exact team that folded under Wade in Green Bay goes toe to toe with NYG, gets hit in the mouth, spits the blood, and swings back.
The same team that folded under Wade goes down 17-0 in the first quarter. I was on the road, almost in the exact stretch of highway where I first turned on the Washington/Philly game to hear them kick the extra point to make it 21-0, in the first quarter. I was thinking we're one mistake from being 24-0 and laughed out of the NFC East. Then I thought if this team, and Garrett, are truly ready to fight, they'll keep it respectable.
Count me in on riding shotgun in the Garrett bandwagon.
