I went over to the Commanders forum this morning

I normally don't do this, but just for kicks this morning, I went over to the foreskins team owned board. Those guys...WOW!!! Extreme Meltdown is what it should be called.

BUT....Is anyone besides me a little concerned about next week's game? They are a wounded team, with little to play for....AND they have their most hated rival coming to town. Sounds like a recipe for an upset...

If JG and RR keep up the good work from the last 2 games, it should not even be close. The foreskins are in complete meltdown mode, with little to no offensive talent. They have some decent defensive players, but with a good game plan (lots and lots of Murray and some SMART passing by Tony) we should have no problem....

But I just can't get past the wounded animal scenario.....am I too much of a chicken little?

Good response. Got to take care of business. Got to develop consistency. Got to be able to hold the fort when also-ran teams rise up on any given week. Got to avoid playing down to the competition. Got to hope that Washington continues to struggle because every NFL team ebbs & flows over the course of the season.

This is their Super Bowl, so any division games always concerns me no matter what the opponents record is. This is a good test for Red to keep the team focused and go into DC and get a win any way possible.

Their Pass rush concerns me. Those Idiots always treat our game like it is their Superbowl. beating us will be the only thing of redeeming value in this season for them and their fans. yes it worries me.

I've lived long enough to know that when it comes to Cowboys vs. Commanders you throw the records out the window. It literally does not matter, and I mean literally, who the best team is. Sometimes it goes as expected, but I've seen too many instances in this rivalry where the doormat pulls it out over the superior team. That goes both ways, too. This isn't a normal game.

That being said, if we don't make a bunch of mistakes, we should win.

Next two weeks JG's preparation will be tested. After the Commanders is the Dolphins on Thanksgiving, so this is the week they do a lot of prep work. Also the team is traveling to Washington. The last time Dallas had to play on the road the week before Thanksgiving was 2004 and lost 30-10 to the Ravens.

This is going to be a tough game particularly early on. We just need to continue to play mistake-free football and we should be able to walk out of there with a comfortable 7-10 point advantage.

After getting completely embarrassed in our last road game, there's no excuse to lay an egg against another division rival.

Very true...we may yet have that opportunity on Thanksgiving. However, I do not see that happening. We have WAY more talent on offense and defense than do the foreskins....

Given the state of the Skins (And because we don't like them) I'd mark this down as a win if I was told I had to predict our wins and losses for the best possible scenario. This means that we really really need to win this game for breathing room.

It's a division game, enuff said. Besides, the Cowboys are not exactly a juggernaut laying waste to the NFL, every game presents a whole new set of matchup problems. Heck, if the Giants and the Ravens can lose to Seattle we should certainly worry about the Skins. That said, I think the Cowboys defense is up to the task this week and the offense should be able to play conservatively and still win.
