I will be alone in thinking this but it was not a good challenge!

The GiANT runner runs to the end zone and touches the TD marker and Wade throws out the challenge flag!

I am choking on a pickled pigs foot and saying whaaaaaa????

A radio announcer says it was a "good" challenge.
Why was it good?
The Giants, even if they had not gotten into the end zone would have 4 chances to pound it in.
If the challenge is overturned, Wade loses the last challenge he has.

Either way, Wade loses.
Wade should have had more time, yes, to make that decision but he didn't and he made A BAD CHALLENGE.
Wade needs more football/strategy brains.

Bad challenge, Wade.

If we had won the challenge they would have gotten the ball around the 20.

you're not alone.

i thought it was a TERRIBLE challenge.

the ONLY, and i mean ONLY good thing about it was that he ended up not having a challenge left to challenge that Steve Smith catch later on.

the announcers were going on about how it would've been worth challenging the catch and Wade probably would have if he still had a challenge left.

thank goodness he didn't b/c that would've been even more ridiculous than the challenge he did make.

They were challenging whether or not he stepped out at the 22.... not the 4 inch line.

When I had to make a quick drive to the baby milk factory and only had the radio, no mention was made of the 22-yard-line.

The talk was all about the last couple of inches before the end zone.
And if so, did Wade have really, really good indications of someone stepping out of bounds to make that costly challenge?

From what I saw on the delay was nothing of the sort, the runner was inbounds as far as I could tell.
Bad challenge, still..

So what you're saying is that you didn't see it, but you still think it was a bad challenge, anyway? Good call.

Jacobs' foot came very close to being out of bounds. There was no camera angle that gave a really good view of it. The head coach doesn't have alot of time to throw the flag, so when whoever handles the review calls for our staff tells him to challenge, he's got to do it. The risk vs. reward of the challenge was very good.

On the game radio (Sham and Babe) they were saying they challenged it cause it looked like he stepped out about the 22 yard line. Sham even commented that he hesitated in the call cause he thought that Jacobs had stepped out as well.

I didn't actually see the play, or the review, obviously so I can't say whether it was a good challenge or not. But going by what Sham said as I was listening to the game it appeared that it was very close.

Please don't judge me. Not ever one can afford luncheon meats.

It is the poor man's escargot. Besides, it goes down good with Big Red and Boone's Farm.
There is this puree you kin make with pig's feet, but if there are too many hairs on the foot it is not worth the trouble. But man, with some corn chips, ah feels like I am dining at a fancy place like the Olives Gardan.

Why was Ball playing so far off of Smith throughout the game? Can't leave their #1 reciever all alone.

Should've been a non-issue if the officiating crew had thrown a flag for holding like they should have. Sensabaugh was going to tackle/push Jacobs out of bounds but he was tackled from behind by a Giant blocker. Actually he was taken to the ground from behind by a Giant blocker with a handful of jersey. I can understand when holds on the line of scrimmage are missed sometimes due to the number of bodies involved. However, when there's a break away play downfield and the hold/takedown is so obvious (by the back of the jersey nonetheless), how in the hell is that missed? I can only think of two things: 1) They simply weren't going to call it 2) They were too busy looking at whether Jacobs stepped out of bounds and weren't paying attention to anything else. Either way, that should not have been a TD. Anyone that says otherwise is simply blind. Easy to call holding penalty.

Wade isn't the only one making stupid challenges. Coaches regularly throw the flag on pure emotion with no sense of the consequences. It has become a very annoying part of the game. :(

Oddly enough, the gourmet kind i buy has no taste of pickles or vinegar.
I wonder why that is.
Something to think about during the offseason.

Thats the problem with replay, its up to a fox, espn producer to decide what angle or what replay is shown or even how long it takes to show a replay. The first Giant catch of the day looked like it might have touched the ground, guess what fox doesnt show a relay. I see this alot when the Giants play.

Still, not convinced the onside kick didn't touch a Giant first.

I really think that it hit Sam Hurd's fingertips first, but man was it close. If he just goes up and doesn't touch the ball, it's off the Giants back and we have a chance to recover.
