I downloaded SopCast, an illegal program that streamed a horrible quality picture of the NFL Network through my computer wires. It cut out, it was partly scrambled and the sound quality was awful. I could barely tell we were playing the Falcons.

I think I'm going to a sports bar this year. These NFLN games are killer.

In that case, eat wings only during games where the Cowboys wear the blue Away jerseys. That'll cancel them out.

Do you mean Sunday Ticket? Cuz NFL Network is knind of irrelevant.

I dunno what people w/o the Ticket do. Sometimes I think I don't need it anymore. Then I punch myself in the face.

Calling NFL Network irrelevant is like calling Monica Lewinsky an intern.

Sports bar. I go even when the Cowboys are on TV, simply for the atmosphere.

You get a bunch of rival fans in the same area, add some (re: alot) beer, and plenty of football talk, and it's a pretty damn good time.

Everyone that can't get NFL Network from their local cable provider should call them immediately and find out what their problem is and ask them when they will be providing it. If I can get it in my irrelavant part of the world so should anyone.

Anyone pay to get the games on computer from nfl.com? Does it work?

I must have missed the link on this on NFL.com. Is this under the Network's stuff or NFL.com itself?

I could live without the Ticket, I could just d/l the games if worse came to worse. It's the NFLN that I couldn't live without. It would be the weekly suicidal thoughts after watching ESPN that I'd get, that I couldn't deal with. Seriously, killing one's self after watching that station is the best anyone could do to themselves. I'd rob 'n steal to make sure that never happen again and to make sure I always had DTV to get the NFLN. In the end, it's really the only station on television that I care about, the only one ever playing on the tv when I have control unless the Cowboys are playing. ESPN is as bad as Joe Buck. Actually, FOX gives ESPN one HELLUVA run for it's money and it's Joe Buck leading the charge! Wait, who the hell is in charge of this league anymore?? NFLN is the only thing that doesn't suck, that still "keeps it real". Atleast ESPN keeps it on football when that's the topic. Half the time I'm waiting for Joe Buck to leap up into Troy's arms and start trying to make out with him. In which we'd probably see some "bubble" pop up on the screen with Bradshaw in it giving a detailed play by play. Troy seriously needs to RUN! Follow your boy Irvin and get away from the league insults!

I thought about it but I don't see how the quality would be that great. Unless you are running a super connection, I don't see how you would watch without puking from all the chopping and lag.

I defanently wouldn't recommend it with a cable connection because its shared. You might get away with it if you have a high DL rate on DSL.

This isn't as true as it was 5-7 years ago. Cable companies have spend a lot of money increasing their bandwidth. Today, cable connections are not only faster (they always have been) they don't suffer from the shared saturation like they used too. Most DSL connections don't even support speeds that match T1 access (some do) and most cable companies start at 3Mbits and can go as high as 20-30Mbits.

I had cable when it first came out and it was great until everyone around me got it to. I switched to DSL for about 5 years and was happy. I moved and SBC wanted me to sign an idiot contract and my dad had cable and it screamed so I tried it again. Cable now blows DSL out of the water speed wise. I can download entire Linux distrubutions in minutes. (sometimes 5 full CDs)
