He's not ready. Just because he's an Ivy League grad and a brainiac does noit make him ready. This is not like Sean Payton, not even close. Sean had 10 years of coaching experience under some pretty good coaches and seeing it done by some of the best. RHG is not even close. If he was the Offense would look better than it is.

This team needs a real coach. Not some on the job training experiment.

If Garrett becomes HC, then this team will go through the Campo years again, I guarantee it. If it does not, then I'll eat my own crow. But I doubt I'll have to eat any.

The problem with your assessment is that the HC is responsible for discipline, motivation, and accountability. Wade is extremely weak in all those areas. It has been reported that Garrett would prefer to run practices much harder than Wade yet he bows to Wade's authority as HC. When a coordinator has a bad head coach, it can make him look bad. Garrett would be a HUGE upgrade to coach cupcake!!!! Besides, he is Jerry's pet project, so you better get used to the idea. Wade Phillip's Cancer has permeated every aspect of this team, when Jerry pulls the plug it will get better.

laugh all you want, but if the oil tycoon names a guy as HC who the players already don't respect, we set ourselves back about 10 years.

Let's see... we have not been to a Super Bowl, in 15 years and really haven't been that close. Another 10 year set back? I tell my 14 year old daughter about the times that me and her Mom went to see the Cowboys play in and win the Super Bowl. We went to all three games in the 90's. To my kid, this is like talking about black and white televisions and rotary phones. Kids this age think the teams sucks and has sucked since they became aware of football. I can't argue with her.

I'd luv to see JG as HC. This team would be well prepaired, inshape, and disciplined. The HC sets the tone of the team and that filters down to the coaches and players, our HC now is a soft *****cat with no bite. I see JG as just the opposite of that.. I'd hope JG gets the job...

I say Jerry asks your opinion on what to do next year and then we go and do the exact opposite. Superbowl.

Because he simply will not fire a Coach mid season. Jerry is not going to ever do that. It's his personality, values, or whatever he defines it as. He just won't do it.

. Seriously though, I don't understand why some people think it would be a good idea to through Garrett in there right now. There is very little to be gained from it (hard to turn a team around like this that sucks so bad in the middle of the season and what do you get if you do..a 6-10 record at best?), and so much to be lost (if Garrett goes 2-7 here then you really have a hard time selling him next year for the job and the 3-6 really does not reflect him being given a fair chance). All this seems incredibly obvious to me, so maybe I am missing something?

As for Garrett being the choice next year...well...does not matter to me one way or the other, I think both sides of the argument have good and legitimate points and I waffle back and forth on the issue more than a politician.

That being said I can assure you I detest Jerry Jones and what he has done to this franchise in destroying it over the past 15 years, the implosion of Texas Stadium was perfect symbolism for what he has done to us. The sooner Jerry goes the better. And the idea that Jerry has any kind of values other than money and self is laughable.
