jerry's plan has always been to get the best talent based on his own impression and his scouts impression. what he forgets is 3 things

1- talent with the wrong attitude and work ethic is nothing. i feel the cowboys sometimes get talent but not the best attitude and work eithic.
2- talent without a great head coach who has authority is a recipe for wasting talent. this is the biggest issue. if there is no fear factor and accountabiity , the players will not function as a team and losses will result agains better disciplined teams.
3- defense is as important as offense

The cowboys are lacking on every aspect of the above.
