I wonder if Kelvin Joseph is going to practice Wed

All I have to say.. there’s been a lot of talk about how “good” Joseph is.. and he may very well be that good. That said.. talk is talk. He hasn’t shown anything yet. So if he’s as good as some say.. well, time to stop talking, and start walking the walk.

The way this defense and team is playing, it’s icing on the cake at this point. But Joseph needs to understand, nothing is being handed out around here. Earn your reps and show everyone that your a star, if that’s what you are. Bottomline.. time to prove it

I wish he didn’t pick 24 as a number like another 24 CB high pick we had around here , Mo Claiborne ended up a Jet poor fella. And Joseph reminded me of him in preseason , almost in position to defend the pass , almost .

Bossman redshirt more like it...

We need to trade for a legit CB if we are serious about making a run. We aren't winning squat with Brown as a starting CB.

Funny I thought the record with Brown was 5-1 ? With a pick 6 hmmm . Not sure what teams are handing Dallas starting cornerbacks unless you want to start taking draft picks out of Will McClays hand . The guy running a scouting dept that’s brought in this talent.

Anything He can contribute this year is gravy . . . There will be a learning curve . . . but when this D Line gets healthy, the pass rush will make his job easier

Wright would be an improvement over anything Canady has brought to the table. And he’s healthy .

Guess here is the Cowboys will cut Maurice Canady to make room for Joseph once he's ready. Canady has really not performed like he did in camp but I wonder how the special teams void gets filled if he is the one released.

Or can Bossman play on the kick coverage team?

I wonder how much of Canady's performance has been because they are playing him outside instead of in the slot. His best work in camp came as a slot corner. ... Not that I think it's a big deal if we release him. It's just that because we've been using him as next man up when we've wanted to rest Diggs, he might be essentially out of position. He seemed to be good in camp at working the underneath zones and seems to be mostly having trouble with coverage along the sidelines when we've seen him during the regular season.

A Cowboys second round draft pick isn't typically expected to play let alone contribute until they are in a contract year. I would wait another 2 years then check back in on Bossman.

Mr. Joseph has work to do, before he's ready for the big time.

Here's hoping his development proceeds most admirably! ;)

Cute post but Bossman had first round talent like Diggs did but teams feared his maturity. As soon as Bossman sees the field and takes a few lumps he will show very quickly he is better than Brown mark my words on that... People forget that Bossman was looking great in camp then suffered a few blown assignments in pre season then the narrative began on the forum that he wasn't playing well... The typical stupid stuff you see around here! Then, he get's hurt and disappears after the narrative spun out of control. Each and every week this forum nut rolls on players, one week Anae is going to be our best pass rusher to he sucks the next, or, Steele sucks, replace Biadasz, ETC.. Bossman fat will shine by end of season and you will like it..

I'm not staking a whole lot on him for the balance of the season. The backfield is working ok now - he's going to have to earn snaps away from Brown, else it will have to wait until an injury before he starts seeing the field more.

i hope so ..even if its in Dime packages .. although Joseph has missed considerably amount of time per injury , i certainly do not want to see Maurice Cannaday ahead
of him on he depth chart by season's end.
I wasn’t sold on Canaday in camp
We’ve seen plenty of camp warriors over the years that never produce in real games
But Kearse kinda gave me hope we hit on canaday too but I’d be surprised if his reps don’t begin to go down if he’s not cut

I don’t think he will be a major contributor but I’m hoping he can get reps because they are so valuable for next year and beyond

lol Was looking back at his contracts. Dude averaged $394,555 per game for 85 games lol. Made $33mil, and only showed up here and there. Listed as a free agent, I would say he is retired.
So teams may not have been happy with his performance and injuries, but he made out lol.

I think he's going to Minnesota...to play special teams to get his feet wet. KJ did some good work at Gunner in the preseason. As the CB4, KJ is gonna have to give the team something, so Canaday or Goodwin could be cut soon.

Joseph may be 1 injury away from getting significant snaps, but I hope his gets time to develop a little bit.

Everyone has been saying Bossman sucked in pre season, he won't contribute anything this year.. I've said the opposite! My heels are dug in and I'm ready to see who is right here!
