if BP is gonna try and control Romo MORE or LESS....
Will BP go ultra conservative or will he let Romo play like last week... You gotta think, BP will feel more and more each week that he has to control Romo more so he can really manage the game and the clock.
Thoughts? (Munchis - ignore this thread) :laugh2:
I posted on this subject in a different thread earlier this week. My thoughts are that if BP wanted to keep Romo on a short leash, he would have done it against the Panthers. It would have made perfect sense. We were playing against a tough, aggressive defense in their house with an "unkown" at QB. Based on BP's history, he would have gone max protection and played very conservatively, limiting the number of throws for the QB and using the running game...if he doesn't trust the QB. Instead, what we saw was a nice balance of run and pass.
Why would we suddenly change philosophies and put a leash on Romo? It would do nothing but hold back his progress, and force this team to play down to the level of the opponent. Nothing good can happen by putting a leash on Romo. Past history with other QBs and BP have shown us that this recipe does not work in the long run.
We played aggressively with Romo in the last couple of games, and this leads me to believe that BP sees something in Romo that he hasn't seen in other QBs during his tenure as Dallas Head Coach. Could it be that he actually trusts Romo?
