I would like Anquan Boldin

I know we don't go for vets but I feel like he is a perfect fit.

He would give us something different in the slot, bring a physical presence, and also he is a great blocker.

I feel like he would really fit in and compliment what we are trying to do offensively.

Unless he plays special teams, no thanxs. Oh ya, he's slow also.

I like him if Dez were to get hurt. I don't think I like him and Dez out on the field together.

I don't want Boldin out wide ... I want him in the slot where he can do damage underneath and up the seam.

He'd be perfect there.

I just don't get the opposition to this. He's a year removed from 1,000 yards.

He caught 70 passes last year and he is a scheme fit too.

I'm not asking for him to be anything more than a # 3 and get us another big body on the field.

Hes a great player to have in 3 wide situations when you call a run or pass play and audible to a run or pass because of his ability to block and catch.

Certainly don't need anyone taking reps away from Street.

My main disappointment in this draft is that we didn't replace him with a late round pick..

Well I don't know what Street has or hasn't. He's a young receiver who hasn't turned that corner. Probably never will. But I was more so thinking about the Whiteheads and Butler's who have actually shown flashes than I was the Street's.

So what do you do with Beasley?

Not use him as much.

Love Beasley but he and Witten don't stretch the middle of the defense down field and since we want to run as the main staple of our offense I'd like to have a #3 out there who can block too.

If we're in gun then leave Boldin on the sideline.

3 wide under center with run/pass option then have Boldin in the game in the Escobar role.

Intangibles, leadership, and production...even at this stage of his career. He can add something to this team.

This is actually the third thread I've seen on the topic in the last month (including one of my own). I still think he'd be a great veteran addition to a team that's serious about making a championship run.
Ours, if they're serious.
