I don't put this all on Bledsoe but in truth, the outcome was predictable going back to the day he was signed. It would be nothing to go back through the archives and review those discussions. What was said then has been proven true now IMO. Basically, the chickens have come home to roast.

To me, the fault lies with the club. You can pull out that excuse, who was available, but to me it's not really valid. I'm just glad that it seems as if we are finally moving on. Road to recovery is long but it only gets shorter when you start down it.

I would blame him. He'd be leaving this team with 1 QB and a huge hole to fill. It would be a copout thing to do. He has no one to blame but himself. (Yeah, yeah, I know the blocking was horrible. Acknowledge that he got pulled because of the INT when we could have taken the lead and the momentum into the critical 2nd half.)
:hammer:

If he didn't want to get pulled, he shouldn't suck so bad. Just like any player.

I like Drew a lot and think he's a true professional, but he almost acts like he's entitled to something. He's not.

I want Romo to start the rest of the season, come hell or high water. I want Drew to stay on and try to help Romo. We'll see what happens.

I wouldn't blame Bledsoe for getting his stuff together and announcing his retirment this morning.

I wouldn't blame him one bit for trashing the Cowboys fans on the way out. He is too much of a professional to do it, but he has the right.

What I've seen from Cowboy's fans this season since Romo played well in preseason games has astonished me. I guess the major flaw of the internet is that anyone can write anything without having to have crediblity.

What I've seen on the boards from fans calling for the backup QB every time things were going exactly right reminds me of the Commanders organization. I used to read the Commanders boards to laugh and feel better about our franchise. I cant anymore, because we are their equal now.

I wouldn't blame Bledsoe one bit for realizing that and leaving town today.

I would blame him....sheesh...he was replaced in the 2nd half when he made a bonehead int and when we'd proven we couldn't protect him.

Are players of this era such premadonna's that they can't handle being replaced now and then? It used to happen all the time, even to star QBs.

I think you are right.

Bledsoe was a stopgap who stopped progress.

I don't know if that will happen or not. I like Drew but I don't know that he would be willing to be the QB coach for Romo. Doesn't typically happen that way in the NFL.

Bledsoe's is what, a 14 year vet and still make stupid mistakes in the Red Zone?. He doesn't have any upside, plus add in the fact that we can't protect him, his limited mobility and he looks scared of the rush makes me believe that it's time to pull the plug. Let's use the rest of the season to see what Romo's upside is.
