I wouldn't hire Jason Garrett off what I saw the last few weeks...

he was brutal JUST BRUTAL YESTERDAY - The Giants had a depleted secondary and he could not find a way to exploit that, the way the Giants exploited Joke Reeves - at one point they had a practice squad guy in.

I agree where were the screens or draws to slow the rush?

Ever hear of a quick slant?

Why did they stop running crossing routes the middle of the field was open all game?

Ever hear of a quick out or curl?

Garrett needs to remember that moving the chains is just as good as making big plays.

I do believe Garrett coached himself out of a HC position during the last 4 games.

Garrett game plans, the player execute. Wade Phillips prepares them to execute.

You are confused about what jobs were preformed. The Cowboys had several chances to score TDs that just didn't happen by getting behind the defense. Garrett put them in that position. They failed to make the plays, and the committed penalties. They didn't execute. The blame lies squarely on the players and Wade Phillips. (blame always goes directly to the top)

What about all the times the Cowboys were behind the coverage, and the players just didn't make the plays that could have been TDs? How is Garrett to blame for penalties that kill drives? Put the blame where it should be and that isnt' Garrett's shoulders. The players and Wade bear this burden.

I agree he has hurt his standing some. The Gmen played us like the Eagles did....playing the safeties deep and letting the LBs cover the middle of the field. Then have the DL contain Romo and blitz up the gut on occasion. Seems to work on Romo every time 'cause he can't make the big play or get out of the pocket. WE MUST adjsut to this sceme by next year.

I think he needs more time. He'll be fine. he wasn't going anywhere anyway.

I wonder how long before Miami names Sparano their Head Coach? Have they satisfied the Rooney Rule yet? ;) ;)

I figure he is as good as gone this week.

he embarrassed himself the last few weeks, as did the Team. Pathetic display, no urgency, no "brilliance" just stupidity with poor execution.

Too smart for his own good.

Then again i'd take him over Wade who is proven to be the worst coach of all the playoff teams except maybe Pitt's.

I agree with you here.

It wouldn't surprise me if Sparano is done by Wednesday.

And I do think Garrett stays.

I suppose this year has been a very good learning experience for Garrett. If we can surround Romo with one more top WR to complement TO, and one more RB to split carries with MBIII, we should be even more potent next year.

We will be a good offensive team next year. I have no doubts. We need to address some areas to get better. like another playmaker, a WOW guy. Either at RB or WR. We must get a player at both positions IMO.

We need to sign Flo if possible. And stay healthy. Romo is good enough to get us back to the playoffs. He may be a Jeff Garcia guy, one that can win regular season games but not much thereafter. But he is not the problem at this time, far from it.

The Giants were practically begging us to attack the middle. And from what i recall it worked almost every time we did. But unfortunately i only remember 4-5 plays across the middle. They were daring us to hit a post, or quick slant.

There are a number of problems with the Cowboys. Jason Garrett is not one of them. Our receivers had multiple chances with the depleted secondary of the Giants. Didn't you see the dropped balls?

And yet not a single word about befuddled Wade "We're Fine" Phillips
